Customers say
Customers find the hydration pack works well for running and hiking, is comfortable, and consider it worth the money. The size receives mixed feedback, with some finding it compact while others say it’s too small to fit a phone. The storage capacity and quality also get mixed reviews – while it holds lots of water, the zip pocket is too small for a phone, and some report it breaking after 2 days of use. Customers report leakage issues with the pack.

Super compact and comfortable
Love the fit and minimalist style. Very lightweight and even has a small zippered pouch for snacks or whatever. For folks like me who were looking for an easy way to hydrate while biking, and NOT wanting a bulky daypack style setup, this thing is darn near perfect!

Almost Superb
I would gove this a 4.75 out of 5 if I could. Received this item over the past weel and on the weekened, tested it out on a 17 mile Urban hike (with partial jogging) from Virginia into D.C. for some sightseeing. Camelbak is a namebrand that has been around since before my Marine Corps days. In fact, the Marine Corps issued Camelbacks back in 2006 and I STILL have that one…so the quality they are known for is present in this model. These are my very small but present exceptions. The volume of water is intentionally small (50oz which is almost 1.5 liters), not bad although likely not intended for an 8-hour urban hike, so consider your particular water-intake needs vs what you want to tackle. I think I overdid it.#2 the zipper compartment on the bottom is very small….but with the bladder filled, it becomes even tighter. With the bladder full, I was able to squeeze one key+fob, a debit card, 4 Tums tablets in a sandwich bag, a 41/2″ Mophie battery cell (which is not small) to recharge my cell phone (which I carried in my hand), AND a coiled 3.5 foot cable…so come to think of it, I squeezed a LOT in there….which made me go test an iPhone10 in there as I was writing this review. Nope, iPhone10 will not fit, even with an empty bladder, but that’s still not bad.#3 the way the straps are shaped under the arm pits and how they connect to the pack kind of makes the entire pack ride up a bit on your upper back, which aesthetically can make you feel like you look a little awkward with this tiny turtle bump on your upper back. If you dont care so much about appearance, then it’s not an issue. As I emptied the bladder, the pack seemed to relax down more.Otherwise, this pack fits REALLY snug, which is what you want when you are jogging/hiking. Once you buckled the chest buckle, the bounce of a full bladder while jogging is quite minimal, even for 1/5 liters. The flap that comes over the bladder mouth is very secure and the easy fill access to the cap is a godsend, I am still testing for cap leaks, not 100% sure yet.

Used on solo hiking trips and Works great
I used this on my solo hiking trip through Arizona’s caves and caverns. I also hiked to several vortex locations in the crazy AZ heat. It was a great companion and a must have. It packs easily as it is very small when it is empty. I packed for 3 months in only a carryon luggage and it fit just fine in my bags, without taking up too much room. It holds a lot of water and is easy to wear and use. It’s made for these types of trips, as the pockets and straps all made perfect sense. When you want to drink, you bite the tube to suck out water. This prevents you from having leakage this wasting water. A great buy and worth having.

Light compact and easy to drink from but hasnât leaked. Wish it had some pockets

Probably better for walking than running.
I’m giving this 5 stars because it works as advertised and the construction is well executed and durable. However, I bought this for long distance running, and while it works just fine for the purpose of transporting water, the harness allows it to bounce around more than I like. You can’t really get it to stop without tightening the harness down so much that it becomes uncomfortable. So while it’s totally fine for what it is, and it deserves the 5 stars, I don’t think it’s really good for running. Now for walk, or a day hike, yeah, this thing would be great. Just nothing too strenuous or you’re going to be fighting with it.

Comfortable
So good I forget I’m wearing it. It is light weight and as long as I remember to get out the extra air out to reduce any sloshing it is almost unnoticeable. The mouthpiece works easily without leaking.

Essential Hydration
I’ve been riding trails on mountain bikes with my son. We constantly run out of water. Also, I’ve been using a bottle cage-mounted toolkit for emergencies on my bike. I saw the CamelBak Hydrobak 50oz Hydration Pack on sale, and decided to give it a try. I’ve known about their products for a long time, but have not had one myself. My son has not taken it off since I got it. Not just while biking. He now wears it around the house. It is super easy to fill, seals reliably and completely, and is convenient to use.

Pretty good, But not great
I love camelbak products and this is my third one. I have an old old version of the l.u.x.e 100oz and I bought a smaller bladder(50oz) for my kid so she would stop stealing mine. I love them both. I bought this one since I wanted a new one for summer and all mine were packed. The good stuff about this one:Love the mesh straps.Love the ability to fill without taking it out of the pack.Love the new cap and handleThe bad stuff:I don’t like the new mouth piece. The angle doesn’t go into my mouth as well or as low profile as the 90° valve. Fixable, but annoying. The flip switch is hard to use, but it might loosen up.It feels like it doesn’t hold much. Compared to the other 50oz I own, it doesn’t feel like it holds as much, and it took me only a 2-3 hours of sipping it while sitting on the couch and it was empty. I would drain it during an hour hike or work out.Filling it is kind of a pain. My other bladders I can fill straight from my fridge dispenser, both ice and water. This one has a bigger top part so it splashes and spills every where. I have to use a pitcher to fill it, and after doing it only twice, it’s annoying. The tube clip is impossible to use. I can’t even get the tube into it, let alone while trying to workout or anything. The pocket is very small. My phone won’t fit (galaxy s7)The top handle is basically a shoe lace.I like it well enough to keep it, but I think I’m going to pass it down to my kid and get another one for me.

Je l’ai utilisé en marathon et c’était parfait. C’est léger et de bonne contenance. Très pratique !

I have bought several of these over past 10 yrs and because the Amazon ” price was right” I decided on this one. Must admit, design improvements such as much larger fill hole, much improved locking system ( so NO LEAKS), minimalist feel and bite valve at correct height ( even though I switched tube to left side) it still came out perfect. Since there are always many questions…I will answer in advance. Small pocket (see pic 4) only big enough for keys…50 ounces of water is plenty..it weighs practically nothing, fits in the small of your back and you don’t even feel it. Water does NOT taste plasticky whatsoever. You can even put ice in it..then add yr. water..and it stays cold for a long time. Just an excellent product with unbeatable value.

i bought this to use in the tree service industry for climbing up trees. it holds 1.5L of water and its enough to keep you going for the time in the tree. it can be a hot one up there so wearing this on my back helps. even has a small zipper pouch for smaller treats you can add. i will reccomend this to anyone using it for work or running, super light and reliable. no issues.
