Solid purchase
I bought this Oct 15 2023. It arrived next day and I assembled it right away. It took 75 minutes working by myself at my basement workbench. Assembly by one person isnât hard just time consuming. I used a half inch socket wrench together with the supplied Allen wrench. The pictures in instruction sheet were more than sufficient to guide me. One nut had damaged threads but I had extras in my workshop. This item is very solid. Good paint job. It is perfect for what I needed – enough holders for my large metal dumbells plus shelf space for other items. Note the 10 pound rubber coated dumbbell barely fits – this is made for the large metal ones. It sits solid on the floor but a toddler could possibly pull it over so know this if you have small children. I didnât use the included rubber edging because it sits on carpet on bottom, and the top really doesnât need it. I recommend this item.

No issues with assembly.
I was nervous about assembly after reading reviews, but it is SO easy. One bolt and washer one one side, one nut and washer on the other side. Assembly will go MUCH faster if you have a ratchet and 1/2â bit. The hex key that comes with it is nice and heavy. Took about 30 minutes. We moved and my temporary gym is in our office for now. My big weight rack doesnât fit in the office, so I just keep my most used ones on this new rack. Iâm trading my 15lb neoprene dumbbells in for rubber capped ones because as most people stated, neoprene weights to not fit well. All in all pleased with the stand as a solution to keep the dumbbells off the floor while we plan out our new garage gym and I can have all my weights in one place again! One the side of the rack I have 25s, 20s, 15s, 12s. On the bottom shelf 5s and 10s. No wobble, very sturdy little holder. Will use the top to hold my water.

It’s really a 3.5 Star product. Would be better with moderate design changes.
I’m not unhappy with the product, just disappointed that it’s not better designed to handle a wider variety of dumbbell types. If you have weights that fit, it’s near perfect. If you don’t, it might be a tough choice to decide to keep or return. The good:Nice looking, easy to assemble stand. It doesn’t take up a lot of space and will allow you to store more than just dumbbells. I have a kettle bell and some bands and ab wheel on the shelves. This is a big improvement in keeping things that used to be lined up on a wall better organized. This stand give more flexibility than the A-frame dumbbell stand I was going to get. Probably best for dumbbells 30# or less. The bad:Can’t fit my 40# & 30# kettlebells on the bottom shelf, it’s just a little to small, but this is not a deal breaker. I don’t feel safe with the 30# on the top because mine is on some more plush carpet and it just feels too wobbly, even with almost 80# total at the base. If it was a hard surface, I’d probably feel better. Most disappointing is that the dumbbell holders are really designed for dumbbells without coating (foam, silicone, et.). over the bar The holders are really best for Hex style or non-coated dumbbells. CAP seems to have designed this assuming you are only going to buy their dumbbells. Seems that with small modifications to the design they could have a more flexible stand. The product is good, almost great, and not amazing. The 4 star rating is me being a little bit generous. I also see some bubbling in the shelf pieces coating as others have mentioned, looks like a quality control issue, but I’m not too worried about. My recommendation is that if you have bare or rubber-coated end hex weights plus some other gear, this would be a great option. If you want to used fully coated weights, double check to see if they will fit the holders. Look at some of the photos posted here where people have had success and failure. My lighter weights, that have full coating, can be jammed in enough I’ll live with it. With heavier weights (more than 10#) I would’t risk it. I can live with the flaws in the design and might just buy some new weights over time. I prefer hex anyway.

Great compact weight storage
I’ll admit this took a little longer to put together than I anticipated. An allen wrench is supplied but you will also need an adjustable wrench. If you wait to fully tighten the screws on the bottom brackets until you have it all together you can line up the two pieces so there is absolutely no instability if this is a concern. I didn’t do this, and but its still just great. With the weights it has plenty of stability. Love the Gym-like sturdiness and compact storage solution. Love the shelf area for kettle weights which will also hold smaller hand weights that don’t fit the side brackets. It was perfect for my compact work out area/laundry room and I think its a bargain.

Perfect and compact for a small home gym; not large enough for a full weight set
Exactly what I needed for my expanding home gym. Easily assembled but to get everything nice and tight youâll need a wrench. Fits all my weights easily but can see there being a problem trying to fit in larger weights. Will update if any problems come up but Iâm very happy with this purchase.

The rack is quite sturdy. Works well with my dumbbells. All the details are well packed and arrived in great shape. You do need some patience to assemble the item. Know it when buying. But not a big deal.Thing to improve is the rubber rims for the top and bottom. The ones for the top are much shorter and donât cover the whole length of the rim.

Big fan of this – it has tidied up my small home gym nicely. I have 5kg, 7.5kg, 10kg & 15kg dumbbells – the small weights fit well, you just have to be careful how the larger ones are stacked. Small tray on tools some smaller 5kgs and the area in the base holds other gym stuff. Bit fiddly putting together, but solid enough.
