Nicely constructed, easy to fill with high value treats, may be a little too easy for cats to solve
This is a really nice toy: it works as promised and is nicely put together. The little hole in the side allows you to fill it with whatever high value treat your cat prefers. As the cat pushes the toy along the ground (it actually works on high pile carpet or smooth flooring equally well) the treats dispense out the side. Its one of the sort that wobbles back and forth and needs to be tilted in a specific way to “solve” and get at the treats. Its weighted at the bottom to make this more difficult and includes a little ribbon lure at the top to attract playful kitties.My cat immediately started playing with this the second I filled it with freeze dried chicken breast. Unfortunately she also immediately figured out what the secret was and just held the top down and shook it to empty all the treats out. This will probably take longer for kittens and perhaps less clever cats, but once she solved the puzzle it became an automatic treat dispenser and stopped being a fun toy. It was great while it lasted though. I am sure I can eventually reintroduce it after a break and she’ll have to solve it again.

Finally a dispenser he can use!
Finally a treat dispenser that is easy enough for my cat to use. It holds a lot more than it appears. Once I loaded it up I thought it would be another that was to hard for him to get to the treats. I left it on the floor for a week and was shocked it was empty, so he must use it when I am not looking. I have tried the meowmix one and another that spun the treats ok and this works the best. I am very happy with this toy and recommend for those kitties that are on the timid side.1 star = did not work as advertised/ falsely advertised2 stars = partially worked3 stars = worked but needs improvement4 stars = works as advertised5 star = excellent/exceeds advertisement

Kitten had zero interest in this toy
We have all seen the Christmas commercial where the parents purchase an expensive toy for their young child and the child ends up playing with the box insteadâ¦. This is exactly what happened with this toy. My daughterâs kitten, Snickerdoodle, apparently is finicky when it comes to her toys, so I have been through a lot of trial and error while attempting to find toys little Snickerdoodle will play with and will keep her from climbing on my curtains. This toy does not require batteries or charging so it is totally dependent upon the catâs interest in (1). playing with it and (2). the desire/motivation to extract snacks from it. Apparently Snickerdoodle lacked both desire and motivation as she showed absolutely no internet whatsoever in this toy. She did, however enjoy playing with the box it came in for all of ten minutes before she lost interest yet again. We tried putting little treats inside the toy, which is what is is designed for (in addition to supposedly being an âinteractive toyâ however after the treats stopped flowing (we arenât trying to over feed the kitten so we only added a few treats) she completely lost interest. Being she is so young I was hoping this would provide some form of entertainment for her however it was a total flop.

Great in theory, not in design
This product is great in theory, but not in how it is designed. The hole for the food/treats is too large, and the hole is never covered up by the rotating part. This leads to half the food I put in falling out in one go when my cat pushes it over. Within 2-3 pushes everything is emptied from the container. I would expect it to better contain the food/treats so the cat needs to work for it, and not dispensing most of the contents with one tip.

The wand part seems to have the perfect amount of give such that it falls over when its yanked on but the moment the force is removed it returns upright. It works pretty much exactly how I imaged it would. It will “move in different directions” as the product description claims – if kitty hits it as such, otherwise it sits stationary. The sides spin independently so the thing actually will roll if I toss it just right.Now the treat dispenser part I’m not interested in using because I use treats to manage certain behaviors not just for play. So I cant comment on that feature other than to say there isn’t a way to open the toy up and clean inside.
