The Catstages Nina Ottosson Kitty Cube Puzzle is the ultimate challenge for your smarty cat. Featuring ten hidden treat cups, this puzzle toy will keep your cat busy and thoroughly entertained. Hide treats, cover compartments, and let the games begin. Cats pull off bones, flip open lids, and slide blocks to solve the puzzle while flexing their intelligence and natural problem-solving skills. Keep your cat guessing with varying difficulty levels. Use it without the bones for a relaxed playtime or up the challenge by adding treats to only a few compartments. This engages their mind and paces eating, helping to improve digestion and overall well-being. Whether it’s treat-time or mealtime, this food puzzle holds 3/4 cup of cat food, making it a versatile addition to your cat’s routine. It’s not just a puzzle; it’s an interactive puzzle feeder for adding excitement to daily meals. The Catstages Kitty Cube Puzzle is a strategic tool to help redirect unwanted behavior and provide essential mental stimulation. Watch as your cat’s scheming tendencies turn into a focus on solving the game. Stimulate your cat’s natural foraging and hunting instincts, enrich their playtime, and provide the mental and physical exercise they crave with the Kitty Cube Puzzle. Raindrops and storm clouds!
I have two cats who steal food and are supposed to be on diets. A third is a very timid semi-feral who waits until the two alpha thieves have had their fill. This puzzle feeder has worked very well for slowing them down and evening out portions. The translucent “raindrops” slide over half dollar sized cutouts where about 12-15 pieces of small kibble fit. The small sliding “cups” can be left empty over the cutouts, as well, or they can be filled with kibble and slid over the cutouts when those have been emptied. Cats have several options for obtaining the food, and mine learned both by experimenting and by observing their buddies’ attempts. All three now share without any snarling, hissing or competition. They are kept busy, fed and not overfed because i can pretty easily control portions using this.Cleaning this is somewhat not ideal as there are spaces that can trap kibble pieces, so a long hot rinse is helpful with an overnight drying time. Not enough of a bother to subtract a star.

challenge level depends on the cat!
The Catstages Rainy Day Puzzle is truly a great and well-designed toy. The quality is excellent, and the concept is creative for keeping cats engaged. However, it seems the challenge level depends on the cat!Our clever girl figured it out in just a few seconds and quickly lost interest, while our tabby boy was completely stumped, just staring at it in confusion. It’s definitely a fun idea, but it might not hold the attention of very smart cats or be accessible enough for less curious ones.Still, it’s a fun way to try out treat puzzles, and it could be perfect for cats with mid-level problem-solving skills. 😊

Excellent for slowing down fast eaters or kitties with big appetites who need smaller calorie counts
When you have to present on a business call, and your cat doesn’t comprehend that she needs to leave you alone and not paw at you, meowing, for fifteen minutes straight because she’s going to absolutely, positively die of starvation if she doesn’t immediately get food, this is a great solution to have ready…Looks and functions exactly as described. Our little girl is a 15 lb, 21″ long cat who’s currently taking prednisolone, which makes her (or anyone, humans included) feel hungry all the time. She usually is fine with 3 timed meals plus a snack, but with the prednisolone, she’s vocally and physically asking for food ever few hours. This toy has been a godsend. We have her on a novel protein diet with high protein (30%) kibble that keeps her fuller longer, and if you put 2-3 kibble in each green leaf cup, and 2-3 in each red lady bug cup, you’ll be able to serve up a puzzle that will occupy them for up to 15 minutes, and make them eat slowly enough they will feel satisfied for a few hours at least. We also have been feeding her her dinner completely in the puzzle some days when she’s especially voracious, and there’s enough room easily in the cups to hold a full ounce of kibble, probably you could fit 2 oz. if needed. (8 oz. = 1 cup of kibble, and we feed her 4 oz. per day, divided into 3 meals + 1 oz. we use as ‘treats’ / snacks throughout the day, which is ~200 calories with her Blue Buffalo and Natural Instinct Venison and Alligator novel protein kibble).Cats use their sense of smell more than eyesight that close up, I guess, so we did notice after while she has trouble telling if there’s still food in the ladybug/red cups, because the scent of food lingers in them and it’s not easy for her to see inside, but she doesn’t seem to get frustrated, and when she hears us take the puzzle out of the closet she knows it’s snack time! The only negative is that it will slide around on a wood floor or kitchen floor, so you may need to put it on a rug/carpet if it keeps moving around while your cat is eating from it.One note: small kibble can become wedged inside the frame of the puzzle. I’ve not tried separating the components to clean it out – I usually just start shaking it over the trashcan in different directions, and the kibble comes out. Larger kibble won’t have this issue – it’s mainly the Natural Instinct one that gets stuck as it’s smaller and flatter than Purina HY Rx and Blue Buffalo. But not a dealbreaker by any means!Really cute, and works great. Very durable. Highly recommended.

Treat Motivated and stimulates hunting instincts
My cats absolutely love it! I give this to my orange and black cat before bed with their treats inside of it. It keeps them occupied and their bellies more full until the morning time! They used to bug me late at night and early mornings but this puzzle keeps them busy and lets me sleep!

    Very simple
My cat figured it out within 10 minutes 🥲 so it’s more of a slow feeder for snacks than it is an interactive toy. It’s still fun to watch her use it though 😂

    Fun and Challenging
We use this to give our cat her treats. She has to work for them and use her thought process. She has enjoyed it. It is a little challenging but she needs to be challenge so she isn’t board.

    kitty MENSA club?
my cats are both very food motivated, and no longer kittens (9 and 5 years old). they both love this puzzle – it’s durable to both styles of puzzling my critters employ (smacking it repeatedly until something moves, or nudging gently) the pieces move easily, and fit a variety of different treats or kibbles. I like that you can make it more or less challenging. it’s not very loud at all.

My cat loves puzzles and she’s already got a simple one from Trixie brand. I decided to get this for her as she’s really smart and the Trixie puzzle is too easy for her now. On her first try with this puzzle, she solved the sliders and raindrops in 2 minutes! I like that you can shift the raindrops in different positions to make the puzzle easier or more difficult. My cat is still figuring out the spinning wheel part, so this is definitely the right difficulty level for her. The only issue I found was that the holes seem to be a bit too shallow. She tried fishing treats out but they keep falling back into the hole. My cat has to stuff her face into the hole to eat the treat.
