Perfect for lumbar back surgery recovery
The Velcro isnât of the best quality, but I found that if you just squeeze the ends together hard when you put it on, it does work better. That was my only issue with it. I had back surgery (L5-S1) recently and ice has been very needed and this is the perfect avenue to get it where I need. It fits pretty well under my clothes at work too! I got 3 different ones of these for variety, extras, and so I would have some at work, and theyâre all pretty great. I would have to say this one is the most functional as it just stays where it needs to be and nothing more. But I do wish the ice packs were bigger on this one. But itâs not much of an issue. I also got the one thatâs the large ice pack with the velcro straps attached to it directly. I love it, but unless itâs under clothes that hold it down, the top and bottom kind of roll out or get moved when I sit in my office chair. The last one I got which I want to love the most but canât quite is the large one with the brace. The reason I canât love it the most is when you pull it tight with the brace, the lack of good velcro on the ends make it easy for it to come apart, especially when sitting down and standing up frequently for work. Also, the corners of the velcro for the brace part are SHARP and have sliced open my palm, the back of my hand, and my arms. They 100% need to be under thicker clothing or else theyâre dangerous. That being said, I do use that one the most at work because it keeps the ice pack exactly where I need it all of the time.Take what you will from this, but thereâs no comparison to trying to make an ice pack stay on you any other way when youâre trying to move around. The ice packs themselves are amazing too. If you use them by themselves when youâre laying down, theyâre perfect.

Great product!! Love that it is not bulky and east to apply. It covers the area needed and contours to my rump area which is perfect. It cools down/freezes quickly. Works so well that sometimes I needed an additional layer in between.

I bought this in preparation for my child’s birth. I usually get excruciating back labor, and only massage and heat help. For my previous child, the hospital gave me a hot pack that I had to hold in place… which added to my discomfort.This one is great! It’s soft and hugged my back just right. It retains heat well for its thin size, especially if you cover up with a blanket. Plus, the Velcro fastened very comfortably under my huge tummy. It even felt supportive and comforting.My only negative experience: I followed the heating directions carefully with my first pad, but the heating pack burst open at a small pinpoint.The company was great, though. They sent me a new one super fast, and I had it in time for delivery.This would also be a great pad for stomach aches and back pain.

Perfect size and not bulky
A friend of ours bought these and we loved the shape and size so we immediately bought the same. We were surprised to see there are 2 ice packs and a holder to use around your waist. My husband had back surgery and he loves that itâs not a typical bulky ice pack. Itâs large but thin enough that itâs comfortable to use. The waist band holder is a great feature so he can walk around and still ice his back. We have no complaints.

Velcro doesn’t hold
At first I really liked this pack to help with my low back pain, but if I was walking around wearing it, the Velcro would continually come undone. Cheaper materials, not very heavy duty velcro. I’d rather pay more for higher quality that works as it should. I do like that there are 2 packs included and they freeze quickly, but they don’t retain the cold temperature for as long as your typical medical grade ice packs. I like the color options as I hate wearing black, but I had to return it and now searching for a better alternative.

For Hip Pain
Iâm using this because I was walking wrong and ultimately developed Sciatica. Itâs pretty handy at home when Iâm sitting. I thought about using it at work but the ice pack, when frozen, can be a little heavy and I do a lot of walking. While the pack holder is adjustable just verify measurements. It used Velcro for closure.
