QUALITY MATERIALS, tether may be the Achilles’ Heel…? Time will tell.
It’s going to take some training to get my dogs acclimated to it, as they are used to dropping stuff in my lap to engage a game of tug.One point of concern: my little red hound dog is incredibly smart… I am concerned that he might realize that he can chew through the black tug line to free the ball from it’s tether!! He hasn’t so far, but its a concern.Even if he does, the ball is still going to be a GREAT toy!! It squeeks, it has a place where you could hide a treat or bully bone. I would recommend a short bully bone or treat as my dogs are resourceful and will just yank the goodies out of the ball and go on. Also I feel like it would be easy to replace the tether if he does chew through it.I cleaned the tile floor really well before sticking the suction cups down. So far they have been there for 24 hours with no sign of releasing! (And I have even messed with them a bit to check their holdfast-ness!!!) I did not have to use the included clear pads to stick the suction cups to, but I can see how they would come in super handy if you had wood floors or a textured type of flooring! The quality on this is top-notch!! The ball is a sturdy toy for my ‘assertive’ chewers. I would not put mine in the category of ‘aggressive’ chewers as I feel that’s reserved for the enthusiasm of the bully breeds, shepherds, malinois, etc…!! The suction cups are superb!! I LOVE the bright colors!!! It makes it very easy to see in dim light, so that it’s not a trip hazard.Well worth it, if you have tuggers! Objective Data:Golden Doodle 50# 10mos old (moderate tug-of-war enthusiast)Viszla blend 50# 8 yrs old (negligable tug-of-war enthusiast… mostly only if his sister has it!)Tile floor, cleaned with windex

Great toy for CERTAIN dogs
This toy has TWO suction cups that really suck – and I mean that as a compliment. My 75 lb dog could not pull them off the floor. The toy comes with a pair of clear “floor stickers” in case your tile or wood floor isn’t perfectly flat so that the suction cups will still work well. I didn’t need them but it’s a nice “in case”. That said, I found the toy a little odd in that the ball is SO BIG that my dog couldn’t easily hold it in his mouth to pull, and the rope on either side of the ball is very small in diameter. I would have used a thicker rope with such a big ball, and I would have made the ball a bit smaller. I don’t see that the seller offers more than one size of this toy, so either your dog likes the big ball/small rope combo or they don’t. I would recommend this toy for really big dogs or dogs that are super determined tuggers – otherwise, I think the size of the ball will cause smaller/less determined dogs to lose interest. If your dog fits the description outlined above, they will probably think the toy is a 5-star item.

Not recommended for big dogs or dogs that like to break ropes.
I have two dogs. One is 95lbs and the other is 55lbs. They enjoy playing tug of war and hunting for hidden snacks so I thought this would be a great solution for their boredom. The toy comes with two plastic pads that glue / stick onto your floor should you have an uneven surface to your floor. These pads present a flat surface for the suction cup. The suction is very strong initially but loses its grip after a few minutes. We have flat linoleum in our home so don’t need the plastic pads. The toy fits in our dogs’ mouths well and they seemed interested in it initially. They are interested in it more as a puzzle than something to tug on but when they try to make off with it, they are surprised when the rope anchors it to the floor.I’m not sure if this is common to all dogs but ours felt that this was two puzzles in one. First get the toy free from its anchorage and second, get the treat out of the toy. Both of our dogs took very different approaches to this puzzle but with similar outcomes. The bigger dog simply tugged on this until it came free and made off with the treat container which he dropped on the ground a few times to release the treats inside. Our smaller dog simply bit through the rope and ran off with the snack laden part. It might be because our littler dog knows that she is not as strong as her brother so had to take a different path.On an up note, my smaller dog does like to play with the ball portion of this toy and it is one of her precious possessions. The rope needs to be reviewed. Perhaps a stronger one?So in essence this is a fun idea that is perhaps not aligned with how dogs think and the suction cups’ rope need a bit of revision to prevent dogs doing a work around and simply doing something we don’t anticipate, like breaking the rope. Its clear the makers of this toy gave this some thought and even included the sticky pads for the suction cups but it may need an additional round of revision to get this right.

Fun toy!
What a fun idea! Took my dog a bit of time to figure out what the “deal” was with the immobile toy, and then she discovered how to release the suction cups so she could carry it all around lol. She’ll still tug for a while before she decides to release it to become a mobile plaything. It looks like it’s going to hold up well to her modest chewing. It’s a good size for a medium or larger dog. My pup is about 22 lbs cattle dog mutt. This also comes with smooth stickers for those with textured floor, to help the suction cups hold.

Not super impressed……
Lets start with my dog chews up everything…. so maybe its him… BUT, this didnt last 20 minutes. We secured it down per instructions and in less than 5 minutes he had it unmounted and chewing on all the parts. Within 20 minutes he had the suction cups chewed up. If you have a super chewer this is not the independent toy for them.
