Theses are purely gimmicks. There is no controller recommended and I tried at least 7 different apps. All require an account. Very time consuming with no success in connecting. Jasco will not take it back. Documents state to return to Mfg. They give you silence. Z wave is hocus pocus for $$$$. I bought the Kasa plugs and bingo. They connected and now I can use alaxa to conto them. Amazon won’t print this because it’s “negative experience”.

Easy install and integration
Very easy to install and integrate. It is used with our ADT automation system and works seamlessly as needed. ADT integration also gives us the ability to us Alexa voice commands as well.

READ BEFORE YOU BUY!
I purchased this item due to the fact it’s “Z-Wave PLUS” but don’t let that fool you. Today when I unpacked it I noticed that there was no QR Code so no smart start. I then read the instructions which LOOK EXACTLY like a ZOOZ or many other Z-Wave electrical products and saw there were ZERO features other than turn an LED on or off to show it’s status. So although it’s a MAINS powered product unlike MOST if not ALL other devices it does NOT function as a repeater for other Z-Wave devices and also it has ZERO security features. The other thing I noticed is that it’s LARGER than other Z-Wave electrical products that go into a wall box. You honestly will need either a DEEP wall box in drywall or an EXPANSION ring if this is going into a surface mounted box as many outdoor products do. I have other enbrighten AC Powered products like wall switches and they do have security features in addition to acting as repeaters. This was a disappointment but it’s installed, just won’t purchase any more from enbrighten. It works so I am giving it a 2 star although I am tempted in giving it a 1 star, not worth it for the price compared to other makers.

The biggest drawback to Z-Wave devices is that they tend to be expensive. I still prefer them over wifi, since they don’t clutter up the network and add yet more wifi-signals bouncing around congesting the channel.This one works well.Only one of the two outlets is remote switchable. The other is always hot.I’d get more, but not unless there was a decent discount/coupon for them.
