My HP laptop has only one combo headphone/mic port (3.5 mm jack), and I needed a way to connect a separate headphone and mic. This adapter works fantastic and appears to be well-made. I ordered two and only one ever worked for my purpose. To join the the two female (Audio and Mic) 3.5mm audio into a singular male 3.5mm cable.Pros:The one worked flawlessly for years. Only causing notable scratching when the cable was accidentally spun in the headphone jack (to be expected).Cons:The spare I ordered has never worked.If I were to buy them again, I would buy a few and test them individually out before tossing them in a drawer. Overall the one served me well but I I was careless with the second one and paid the price.I truly think this is a quality product based on my experience, there may be some quality control concerns when leaving the facility, faulty units, but given the price per unit that is not the most surprising thing.
