24 Hours of Deep Moisturizing / Plus Smells Great!
This is an excellent body moisturizer that does two things particularly well: (1) it moisturizes your skin for up to 24 hours, and (2) unlike many other moisturizing products, it works very well WITHOUT leaving your skin feeling greasy or rubbing off on your clothes.I personally have combination skin – not just on my face, but my body as well. In particular, my legs and arms get very dry and flaky whenever it gets cold for a couple of days. Being a typical dude, my personal knowledge of and experience with body moisturizers was very limited before I tried Eos. For years my dermatologist recommended that I use traditional OTC moisturizers like Cerave and Cetaphil. Although they generally worked well, I always had the same problem – they left my skin feeling greasy and would rub off on my clothes. Also, I always shower in the morning, and a lot of times when getting ready to go to work, I wouldn’t have time to dry off, and then apply a body moisturizer, and THEN wait for the moisturizer to dry before putting on my clothes for work. With Eos, the “greasy” problem has been solved. It quickly dries after application, and very soon afterwards it no longer feels like I’ve put anything on my skin at all. That being said, it is DEFINITELY doing it’s thing – even into the next day I can tell that my skin is still soft and hydrated.So if you are like me and you especially need a body moisturizer in the winter – but you can’t stand the greasy feeling of other products – then you definitely need to check out Eos. Again, I really want to emphasize that this product gets 5 stars from me because: (1) it’s extremely effective, (2) it lasts a long time, and (3) no greasy feeling (plus no rubbing off on your clothes!) AND – as an added bonus – it smells really good! I learned about it from reading an online review that compared it to sugar cookies, and I agree! It doesn’t have a soapy or medicinal scent at all like a lot of other body products. So again, if you need a body moisturizer that works well, lasts a long time, and isn’t expensive, then this is exactly the product you are looking for.

I bought this to pair with VS’ Bare Vanilla, and I’m happy to say that both products complement each other beautifully. However, I don’t understand the hype surrounding this lotion in particular.As a lotion, it does its job very well. It leaves my skin feeling soft and supple. There’s no greasy or heavy feeling, as it absorbs quickly while still being hydrating. So, in terms of formula, I’m all for it!However, at room temperature, this product has a pungent, yogurt-like scent. Fortunately, the smell fades after a few minutes, leaving a pleasant, subtle vanilla aroma. Still, it’s a bit odd. I discovered that you can eliminate the yogurt scent entirely by storing the bottle in the fridge, which is… peculiar, but I’ll take it!After the yogurt scent disappears, the lotion smells like sweet cream with a touch of vanilla, resembling vanilla ice cream or cheap vanilla buttercream. I enjoy it! It’s a very subtle, youthful scent. (If you are looking for a mature vanilla, avoid this!)On its own, I can only really smell it if i actively sniff my skin. Personally, I’m generally fine with this, (though I’m a little miffed because other reviews make it seem like the scent is out of this world.) Heavy fragrances in body care can sometimes do more harm than good, and this makes the lotion a great base for a gourmand fragrance. If you’re looking for a lotion with a stronger scent, I’d recommend Bath and Body Works or VS lotions/creams over this one.I think I’ll combine this lotion with some aroma chemicals to enhance the vanilla scent. All in all, I’m satisfied! Just make sure this is the type of product you want before purchasing. If you’re after a subtle, youthful vanilla scent in a great lotion, this is for you.UPDATE: OK, I’ve been wearing this lotion for some days now. I still think the formula is amazing, but by itself, this lotion’s fragrance is definitely “off.” Even without the yogurt smell, the lotion has this sweaty undertone that I (and others who I’ve asked to smell it on me) just cannot get behind. HOWEVER, this is a phenomenal cheap product for layering! It pairs very well with Viva la Juicy and my other gourmands, masking all the weird notes while promoting longevity and giving my fragrances a creamier, lactonic quality. Combining this lotion with sweet aroma chemicals/oils also fixed the weird note problem, and it now smells like vanilla buttercream. Curious.

The raspberry pomegranate scent is phenomenal. I bought the vanilla cashmere and it smelt like spoiled yogurt. This scent is outstanding. The moisture is also amazing, it keeps my skin hydrated all day long.

Look no further, this is the best vanilla scented lotion you will ever purchase! If you want to smell like a vanilla goddess, trust me and get this stuff. It smells exactly like vanilla icing, but somehow it isn’t sickeningly sweet. I am sensitive to strong scents and often get headaches, but the smell of this lotion isn’t super overwhelming, and I’ve had no issues with it. It’s a bit hard to describe, but it doesn’t smell artificial, and is a really soothing scent. This is my holy grail, it’s nice and thick, and the scent lasts a loooong time. I initially purchased this just for the smell, but it’s actually really hydrating as well, and the texture is similar to a cream. It definitely feels a bit greasy, but I’ve gotten multiple compliments wearing this lotion, and honestly I’ll never buy anything else. It’s a staple especially if you’re looking to layer other forms of fragrance on top.As a note, I’ve tried the cherry blossom, and find that to be a little more headache inducing and artificial smelling for me.
