Stinks!!!!!!
Absolutely perfect size and the right thickness I was looking for, something with cushion. However it has a ridiculously strong chemical smell. Even after 2 weeks. My clothes even stink after laying on the mat!! It would have 5 stars if not for the smell!

Nice mat – for yoga and stretching only
This mat is nice and cushy, for yoga and stretching it probably would be perfect. (see updated review below) I bought it so I could do workouts without shoes on in my house (which has hard floors). It is maybe a little too spungy for a hiit or aerobic workout. Though I’m still using it for that, but it isn’t perfect as the sponginess moves a bit when pushing against it at an angle on certain exercises. I think I should have gone with a 1/2″ thickness rather than 3/4″. I wish they had more options for the big mats, because the size is perfect. I can do push up type exercises and my hands stay on the mat now. I can do skater & other side movements without going off the mat, backwards and forwards. All mats should be 4×6.So depending what you want this for, it may be the perfect mat for you. If you want it for workouts with more movements maybe 1/2″ thickness would be better, but I don’t know unless I get one to try.UPDATE 02/2025 – The mat was not good for aerobic or moving exercises as it started tearing. I bought a different one that is approx 1/2″ thick. It is a totally different material, definitely more dense, so I think the new one should hold up well for my workouts.As far as this one, I think only stretching and mild yoga would be perfect for it. It is wonderfully soft, but no angle resistant exercises should regularly be done on it. I’m giving it to my husband for stretching, so hopefully it will work great for him. It was almost $100 so kind of expensive to not work out as expected.

So soft! Great size
this is a great mat to meditate or work out on. I love that it is larger than typical yoga mats, which require my hands to touch the floor in order to do pushups. It is so super soft and comfy! It’s fantastic for sit ups and calisthenics. the cushion is also great for bouncing, softening the landing on joints and feet even when barefoot. I have it on a rough rug and in that location, it appears to be okay to even do active exercise on, without the mat sliding around. It fills up a nice portion of the floor making the room look more like a gym. Overall, it’s a great mata couple things to keep in mind:1. there is only a slight “fresh gym smell” at first, but not too strong at all and seems to dissipate quickly. the slight smell was gone by the next day.2. it has some creases/marks making me believe that it might be easily “damaged”. It is nothing non-new at all, just the material is easily creasing.3. it rolls up much larger than other yoga mats4. it’s easy to vacuum5. the blue gray is really nice and matches my room with blue accents really well without looking too blue or too grayBut overall, I am super happy with this product and really fits what I needed

Surprisingly squishy
I read a few other reviews that noted the strong chemical smell from this particular mat and while it was rather strong out of the packaging, it eventually dissipated to the point where I don’t notice it any longer. The thickness and soft consistency of the foam make for surface that is very friendly to bare feet. I had intended to use this with a standing punching bag, but can see it having value with yoga and other types of workouts. I’m 5’5″, so this the perfect size for single person usage workouts – it may be a little cramped if you tried to fit two people like in the product image. Overall a solid purchase and great for any home gym set up.
