After I placed the order, I got an email saying that the product had been sent by someone other than who I ordered it from, so I don’t know who is getting this review. Bottom line is whoever sent this is 5 Star. I had been getting these from a large grocery chain. The gravy was gloppy. I got these today and the difference is amazing. Gravy looked delicious and perfect consistency. Value for the money, 5 Stars.

Cats seam to like it, it’s a good break from there regular food. It’s a bit expensive though. I bought it to see if my cats would like it. I’ll buy it again but won’t be a regular thing

I rarely order wet food for my little morons. However this was tempting. It is difficult to open and have it sit right in their bowl. But my princess who has never eaten any thing but dry ate the entire portion with out stopping. My boy did the same. I will be ordering this every month. I love them very much no matter how much extra work they make me do. Food is an enjoyment of life. They deserve it too

THIS IS HOW TO GET THE GEMS OUT IN ONE PRETTY PIECE EVERY TIME!
My late father, a Top Secret Clearance aerospace engineer, taught me this many, many years ago. If a solid or semi-solid substance won’t come out of its container, it because a vacuum has formed between it and the bottom of the container. This causes a suction effect. To break the vacuum, you need to puncture the bottom of the container. I used a large needle to make just one hole, and the food slid right out. It did look pretty, but the food seemed kind of dry and was much firmer than I expected. I smashed it up and mixed in a little water to get the gruel-like texture my cats prefer. They licked it right up. It’s too pricey for me to buy it again, though. Enjoy your Gems now that you know how to get them out!

Hard to remove from the container
The food has a soft, smooth texture that may appeal to some cats, and the portion sizes are appropriate for one feeding, reducing waste. Also, the âsauceâ on top does seem to be particularly appealing (at least it is to my two cats) â although they were more mixed in their evaluation of the pate. I found getting the food out of the container frustrating. I tried squeezing the sides, warming the container in my hand before turning it over, and tapping it on the side of the food bowl (donât). Ultimately it was best to use a spoon â using a cooking utensil used to safely loosen baked goods like cakes and breads from their pans likely would have been the truly best option, but I wasnât going there. So if youâre set on achieving the look promised in the carton photography, maybe wait until they work the kinks out on the packaging (a button on top to loosen the food, grippy sides for squeezing, tiny baking-type utensils designed for cat food 😉 ). For me this just wasnât a great option as my cats didnât like the food well enough to overcome my frustration with the packaging.
