Decent Bluetooth smart watch with lots of features and a few issues.
I like this Bluetooth watch. It has a lot of really neat features and functionality, including a couple features that I wasn’t expecting, such as estimation of blood pressure.It can check heart rate, 02 readings, blood pressure estimation, steps taken, act as a Bluetooth speaker for your phone for both music and phone calls, and has a variety of simple apps built in such as a calculator and a voice assistant widget.. there are lots of features. The watch has a vibration/tactile feature that you can enable when you get a notification or a text message, which I have found handy on several occasions when I have left my phone at another room. It also has a ‘find phone’ feature that you can activate through the watch menu that will cause your phone to start making noises so you can locate it if you happen to have a compatible app running.The screen brightness is adjustable but is still fairly easy to read at a medium brightness setting even in sunlight.The watch band is a kind of rubber / silicone and has been fairly durable so far. The watch itself is fairly lightweight and I haven’t really noticed it most of the time. The screen seems to smudge easily, but cleans up just as easily with a damp microfiber cloth.The battery typically lasts me about three and a half days with 5 minute heart rate monitoring/polling activated. This feature gathers more information but also uses more battery power over time.ðThere are two things that are significant issues for me with this particular product. The first is that you can do very little with the watch if you don’t first install a compatible app;you can’t even set the time on the watch! You can use some of the widgets but you can’t really do much with the data or change much on the watch through the settings menus.ðThe second is that the dial/button on the side triggers a feature on the watch to do a hard reset of the device when it is depressed for a certain amount of time. This means that any unsaved data on the watch, all settings, backgrounds, etc are wiped from the device and have to be updated again through the app. I’ve had this happen to me three times just because I happen to have my hands in my pockets or had a winter glove on a just such a way that it pressed upon the button. This is extremely annoying when it happens, and as far as I can tell there is no way to disable this function through the app or the watch configuration settings.Keeping these drawbacks in mind, I still think that this is a decent watch. I think that it is a good value at around $20 to $25. It was purchased for an 11-year-old and he absolutely loves it! The pedometer, the calculator, sleep tracker and the choices of the face of the watch are his favorite so far.I want to go into detail whether you’re buying this for a child or for an adult. I will discuss for a child first. This is a great watch for any child that is 10 years and older that’s looking for a more mature watch. I have tried watches that were advertised for 5 to 12 years old, however, they were too childish for an 11-year-old – that includes the choices for the face of the watch and that watch was returned.If using it for a child, you will always have to download the app. However, you do not have to keep it installed. The reason you have to download the app is because it has to initially sync the date and the time from your phone. The app is called Da Fit and you can look it up ahead of time to see what permissions it requires besides location and the privacy policy. The app is not just used for this smartwatch, but for many and has a good rating. The app itself is very easy to use. It is amazing and fun how many different choices you will have for the face of the watch. It has approximately 160 including holidays; Christmas, Valentine’s Day etc. You can constantly change the face of your watch. When you go on the app after you accepted the permissions, it will show you the different choices for the face of the watch. It’s easy to miss the additional hundred choices. It will be a black box with a plus sign and below it will say face gallery – You just click on that to get the other choices. On some of the choices, the month and the days are switched. For example, December 12th will be 2012. This is because it is a Julian Calendar and it is used in some places.If NOT synced to a phone to make calls, it can do everything but the calendar and camera so far what I’ve noticed. You can use the blood pressure monitor, heart rate monitor, sleep tracking, pedometer, sport mode, weather, calculator, measuring and a few others. The flashlight is actually just the face of the watch instead of from the back of the watch. The sleep tracking was very accurate for the time going to sleep and waking up. The blood pressure, I would not rely on any smartwatch for that. It was not accurate, but neither is an Apple Watch without an additional device. Several times I tested the blood pressure monitor and beats per minute against two machines that I have that are very reliable.I am attaching a photo to show you how clear the screen is. I love how large the face is and it makes it very easy to read. This watch band if used for a child could fit a 5-inch wrist to at least seven and a half inches. After I set everything up, I uninstalled the app and then the weather will no longer work because it relies on your location from your phone. Everything else continued to work including the date and the time. When he wants to change the face of the watch, I just reinstall the app. The reason I uninstall it is because for the purpose we’re using it for, I don’t want to have the location on the entire time and it is a requirement to use the app. We were able to use it for several days on one charge. The default of the screen timeout is 5 seconds. We changed it to 30 seconds on the app (same area where you pick Celsius or Fahrenheit – look for other) and that makes the battery run out sooner.For adults purchasing the smartwatch, everything worked perfectly except what I mentioned above – Blood pressure. Beats per minute was accurate, sleep tracker, etc. I set up everything with the phone to test the functions of the smartwatch. I made calls and got texts. With the phone calls, everybody said I sounded very clear. To set up the text messaging on the app, you go to notifications and that’s where you give permissions for which social media sites or other things that you want to give permission for the app to be able to use to notify you.One of the best things about this watch is that if the screen is off, all you do is point your wrist towards your face and it will turn the screen on. This is especially important if you were running or cycling, etc. when you don’t want to have to press a button to check the time or any of the other functions you’re using.It does come with an instruction booklet. However, as many instruction booklets are, It’s like reading hieroglyphics. I had to do a lot of trial and error, spend a lot of time on the app and the watch to really understand all the capabilities. It does NOT come with a screen protector which I would have liked to have seen included.I wrote a lengthy review because at the time of my review there was only two reviews. I wanted to give you a better understanding of this watch and its capabilities and to help you better decide if it is right for you.When writing reviews, I compare apples to apples. Another reviewer compared apples to oranges. This smartwatch compared to a Galaxy Watch – a watch that is six times the price of this smartwatch.This smartwatch is a wonderful gift to give to yourself or others. It is returnable and it is certainly worth a try.

You get what you pay for
Let’s just say that you get what you pay for. While this isn’t a terrible watch, it isn’t the best. Now I’m not saying you need an Apple Watch because that thing is overpriced. However, this watch is cheap for a reason. Is it worth the money? Technically, yes. This is a great smart watch if you’re not looking for anything fancy or you’re looking to get one for your kid.It will track your workout and you can change the watch face. It has the basic smart watch apps. There are times where it can go a little slow, but it runs fine for the most part. My rating is only because I’m comparing it to the Galaxy Watch.

I got the watch for a very low price. Caught a good sale. I like the watch very much. It has alot of options as far as set up and what features you want to use. I like that you can create a favorites screen so you do not hand to keep going back to find what you need. I initially just bought the watch to replace my broken one but I’m enjoying it. Definitely a great buy.
