Beginners Yoga Kit
This kit arrived in time and in good condition. I am just starting yoga and wanted to try it at home first before paying out for classes. The mat is excellent – good size, colour – teal, as on the box cover – and rolls up small. I have it on a tiled floor and its comfortable. The CD is great – a 15 min introduction explains why you use the block and the strap, how to place your body on the mat, and being older and not very flexible yet it is great to use the block for sitting poses in particular.The 15 min morning exercise is a great beginning routine for me, easy to do every day and not too hard on my joints as I get them back into shape – eventually, I hope! There is also a 30min routine but its a bit much yet, but one I will use once I find the beginning one a bit easier.I am very pleased with my purchase.

Awesome, affordable set for beginners!
I tossed the DVD since I did not find it the instruction on it to be helpful. It’s way too fast for a beginner and does not focus on proper alignment and correctly doing the postures. Other than that, it’s a great kit for beginners (like me)! The mat is good quality, travel friendly and not slippery. It has lines printed on it for alignment, I think, but one of the four prints have crooked lines so it defeats the purpose LOL. The others are fine though. Great, vibrant colour. The block and strap are on the smaller/shorter side but useful nonetheless. As a beginner, this definitely helps jumpstart my practice. I am very happy with this purchase.

Great introduction to yoga for an absolute beginner
I had never done any yoga before I bought this kit, so I can’t compare it to other yoga materials out there. Overall, I thought it was a great deal for someone looking to try out yoga at home.I’ve been using the mat almost daily for the past month now and it seems to be holding up well. I appreciate the markings that you can use to help line up your feet and hands- they are more useful than I expected them to be. The strap is made of really thick material and I think I will appreciate having it around as I learn more ways to incorporate it in my workout. Same with the block.The DVD also has a great ‘Daily Yoga’ workout for beginners. I had hoped that “for beginners” meant that there would be some introductions to the poses and how to avoid common mistakes, but even without that, I found it was still fairly easy to catch on. The ‘Morning Stretch’ is more of a warm-up than a workout, but still useful.

Best Price for Set
I had seen this kit in stores, but always priced at about $40. So I jumped on the deal when I found it here for such a low price. All the items are great. They did not skimp & make the Yoga Mat thin, it is actually a standard Mat. The Strap & Brick are also the standard, not a cheaper version. So you really are getting a great basic kit for almost half the price you pay in stores & an even greater deal if you bought all of it separate. I have been using my Yoga items for class and home & they are holding up great. The Mat even has some “lined” areas which help show some of your growth..aka in stretching.

This set was exactly what I expected and meets the needs of this beginner perfectly. I had read some mixed reviews about the mat itself. What I received is thin, but still thick enough to provide comfort on my tile floor.Also, the video is a good introduction. I have been using the Morning Yoga regularly and enjoy the warm up to the day. If you are looking for serious Yoga routines, this IS a beginners set, you will certainly want to supplement with more videos/classes etc.The block and strap are also of quality build and perform as expected. All in all, it’s a complete and quality package perfect for someone starting out.
