Game Changer!
The yoga mat string carrier that my mats originally came with kept breaking and coming apart so I needed a different option. After doing a search, I found this fabulous product! I grew up in a time when slap bracelets were all the rage so this yoga slap strap kind of brings back some of the memories from my childhood. I have been very happy with the strap as it not only works, it is quicker to put my mat up with the slap strap than having to wrangle the string. I regularly have other gym members asking where they can get this product.

It works like a slap bracelet
This was a solution for my new mat getting stuck in my mat carrier. It was tacky and wouldn’t slide into the carrier. This keeps my mat slim for when it’s time to pack up and go. It’s good for when you don’t need a carrier, too. It works like a slap bracelet.

Great Alternative to Yoga Bag
My new yoga mat is (necessarily) thicker than any I’ve had, which means it’s also a little cumbersome and too large to put in my bag. In fact, my yoga mat tests the limit of this slap band, but the Gaiam Yoga Mat Strap Slap Band still does its job heroically, keeping the mat in a manageable roll and making it much easier to carry into and out of class without its unrolling.

Good, but if you have a very thick mat, it can still be used but it won’t wrap around itself or even meet in the middle. I use this for my Yoga mat which is quite thin, but I’d like them to bring out a longer length one for the much thicker yoga mat I have which I use specifically for meditation and any poses where I’ll be on my knees a lot.

Literally the best mat strap/band for easy storage. I use one with a shoulder strap for on the go, but this would also be a great option in a pinch. Really easy to use, holds the mat however tight you rolled it and doesn’t loosen/relax over time.
