Must-Have for Home Protection
The GoveeLife WiFi Water Leak Detector is an essential device for any home! The 4-pack provides great coverage, and the WiFi connectivity with app alerts gives me peace of mind, even when Iâm not home.Setup was quick and simple, and the adjustable 100dB alarm is loud enough to be heard from another room. The wireless transmission range is impressiveâperfect for placing in the basement, under sinks, or near appliances. This is a reliable and affordable way to prevent costly water damage. Highly recommend!

You need this if you are worried about water leaks.
Easy to setup and works amazingly. I use them in a rental in a different state and it has alerted me each time there is some water leaking. I bought primarily to monitor water heater which is getting old but it has been detecting smaller leaks under the sink and notifying me. I set the audible alarm to silent so it won’t bother any guests.

Setup was straight forward, pray I don’t need them to work as desgined.
Setup was straight forward.I’m not going to knock off starts for my nit-picks.. but hopefully Govee sees the feedback. It all adopted well, worked as expected. Also did the integration into Alexa eco system, so my dots and shows holler at me when a water leak sensor trips. I put where the sensor is in the sentence for the announcement. So let the nit-picking begin…Following the directions, the only part that the manual wasn’t well written and did not sync with what I was seeing in the app, was making sure notifications were turned on for the device. That small section of the manual seemed someone glanced over and didn’t give the writing much thought.(I have a Pixel7pro phone)Rest of the manual was fine or good enough.Adoption of the gateway was quicker, less steps than the manual showed.I used AAA rechargeable batteries. They do run at a slightly lower terminal voltage than standard alkaline AAA, so the software shows 1 bar down for battery status with freshly recharged AAAs installed. Since this is all software based, should have an option to allow for rechargeable LiOn batteries, so the battery level displays at 100% when freshly charged and installed. And the low battery notification is better calibrated. Haven’t had them long enough for a low battery, but I’m assuming here that it too needs to be addressed based on battery chemical type.Alarm, if you pick a standard sound on your phone, it comes and goes quickly. No persistence. The Govee software doesn’t have a “latching” or “persistence” option, that the notification/alarm keeps going till you acknowledge it on your phone. I searched and found “Siren” in my phone’s stock sounds that lasts and lasts,, maybe it is latching, or goes on for a very long time. After 30 seconds of it blaring, I assumed it will be good enough and used it. Everything else I tried lasted for a second or 2. Not good.Govee should either create a latching function / option when setting up sound based alarms/notifications, or provide a default sound that goes on and on, and on for a long time.In the end, the best was to have Alexa do an annunciation , which I have the routine doing the same sentence 4x in 1 action, and I have the same action 4 times, going to all my dots and shows….. so should be enough to wake me up from a dead sleep.Face it, this is for water leaks, damaging water leaks, it’s an emergency to be addresses ASAP, so it needs to wake the heck out of you.If we get enough ran, could get a basement leak, I want to be woken up to deal with it before it gets too bad.If the water heater starts leaking, same thing..A faucet or drain leaks at a sink, same thing…These are not casual notifications that can wait till the morning.

Works great! Easy setup
Easy setup. Install the app which walks you through the process. Sensors arrive paired with the hub so not much to do other than provide your home network login and give each sensor a name. I placed them in the water heater pans in our attic. Wish the sensors were louder (100 decibels), but they are loud enough to hear when in the general area. Other water leak sensors can produce up to 130 decibels. App sends a notification alert message to your phone when a sensor is triggered. Other alerts include Amazon Alexa announcements and receiving an email. If you would rather receive a text message instead of an email, just search for instructions on how to send an email as a text message using your phone service provider. For AT&T, just replace the notification email address with: [your 10-digit phone number]@mms.att.net. For example, 1234567890@mms.att.net. This will allow you to receive text alerts instead of email alerts.

Works flawlessly
This thing works great. I have these and arlo leak sensors that I use in the same spot. This detects immediately and the arlo doesnât detect at all. Alarm is loud and it sends a push notification to my phone/email. Will be putting them everywhere I have water. Only downside is the size. They are kind of big so I donât know if Iâll be able to put one behind the refrigerator or near dishwasher.

Must have in every house
Govee products are so easy to setup and this one pays for itself after 1 alert. I had an alert 1 month after installing it. Had a leak under upstairs bathroom sink. Alerted me with sound and mobile notification before the cabinet was soaked. It detects water dripping on the sensors or if the sensor is sitting in water. Highly recommend.

Easy to set up. Loud alarm. Now it notifies my pet spills water, or accidentally went to the bathroom somewhere in the house. Connection is good and reliable. Was so easy to configure on my network and phone even a child could do this.

It is kind of hard to review a product you hope you never need! But installation was easy, and I did test it out by dripping water on it and by putting it down on a slightly wet floor after mopping. It worked. I had a non-smart alarm near my internal ac and water tank, and the ac started to leak. That alarm alerted us right away, we shut it off, and saved us potentially thousands in water damage. Investing in this product is a no brainer.

Product seems very well constructed. I like that the battery level of the sensors can be viewed on the app, but would be even better if there was an app notification once batteries reach low charge. Quick test resulted in audible, app pushed and email notifications that came through quickly. Gave 5 stars in anticipation of it working properly for a long time (only a couple of weeks since installed). Took a couple of attempts to connect initially to wifi so don’t give up if it doesn’t connect the first time. Once the base unit was connected, all the sensors paired easily. Hint: label the sensors as you connect each one, one at a time, so that you can name them in the app.
