No spilling
Great product – like that it sits without tipping!

Amazing
Super comfortable. I use them everyday. They collect so much milk that would otherwise be wasted. Better than the boon trove which I also use.

Serves its purpose
Quality with discrete use. I do wish I had not gotten the ladybug version because i accidentally knock it off and lose milk often. It does what itâs supposed to but not right for me unless Iâm wearing a bra.

No more wasted let-down milk!
The Haakaa ladybug is an awesome invention! I’ve been using it for a few weeks now (I’m 6wks postpartum with my 2nd), and I love it! Usually I let down so much milk while starting nursing on one side, I soak through my nursing pad and shirt, but with using the haakaa to catch that let-down milk, I gather up to 5 oz total in a day! I’ve been able to build up my milk storage without pumping or affecting my supply! It’s painless and easy! Before I start nursing on one side, I just squeeze the ladybug a bit for suction, place it, and put my bra back over it to hold it in place. Then when it comes time to switch nursing sides, I remove it and set it aside. I haven’t spilled it or had any issues with it leaking yet. Super quick, super easy, and super worth it!

Small hole with rigid silicone
Below is a review of 4 options for catching milk and sore nipple protection to hopefully help another momma get the right product the first time rather than having to try and return a bunch of products while taking care of a new baby like I did.haakaa Ladybug- small nipple hole (painful on the areola) silicone is more rigid, Iâm assuming to be able to suction but itâs just not conducive for healing sore nipples, uncomfortable to sleep in. Noticeable under bra. If looking for gentle suction for letdown but something baby canât kick off, the ElvieCurve is amazing but unfortunately expensive.Medela TheraShells- look absolutely ridiculous, only about 2in in diameter so on any size breast these are going to be noticeable and weird looking. The inverted/flat nipple back has the smallest nipple opening that I canât imagine it would fit anyones nipples comfortably and would further cause damage to the sore Areola. The sore nipple back is comfortable but I just felt silly wearing them because of how they looked. These may catch leaks but not much and they have vent holes at the top so I imagine they will leak if wearing them to bed. No suction.Phillips Avent- these come with shells with and without air vents depending on whether you want to use them for collecting milk or for sore nipples. I really thought out of the 4 these were going to be my favorite because of the shape of the silicone cushion but these were still painful on my areola. They also look unnatural under a bra and for bigger chested women are definitely going to be noticeable.Elvie Catch- a higher price point but definitely worth it. Out of the 4 options I tried, these were my favorite. Instantly comfortable, discreet under a bra, comfortable enough to sleep in. The silicone piece that touches the breast is soft and flexible and not rigid like the Haaka lady bugs and I feel will actually allow my nipples to heal. The collection container is small but at this point I care less about collecting and more about protecting my nipples from sticking to nipple pads. If you have long nipples, these may not work for you because of the flatter collection chamber, your nipples will touch the hard plastic, defeating the sore nipple purpose. But thereâs about 3/4in depth so most nipples will fit fine. Taking apart and putting these back together is kind of a pain but doable. No suction like the haaka but Iâm fine with that as my supply is now more regulated and engorgement isnât such a huge problem. (If engorged and have sore nipples I highly recommend the Elvie Curve that has gentle suction and canât be kicked off by baby as youâre nursing the other side. These are less comfy to sleep in but still doable and they have a large collection chamber.)

Just get it!
If youâre on the fence about this just do it! I was between this, the Hakka, and shell and ultimately decided to get this one from fear of oversupply from the others. Iâve been using it for about 2 weeks now and itâs done an amazing job catching let down. Iâve also been able to build of quite the freezer stash because of it! Highly recommend.

Perfect for catching letdown
I am exclusively breastfeeding and I used my traditional Haakaa on the opposite breast nearly every feeding. Because it does have some suction to it, I was encountering some oversupply issues. I only really used it to catch my letdown and since I had an oversupply, I was sometimes getting 3-4oz of excess in my haakaa during one feeding. I found the ladybug instead and it has helped my milk supply become much more stable! It catches my letdown but doesnât add extra stimulation when I donât need it. I wish I had used this from the beginning! Iâm still able to collect and store my extra milk without creating *more* extra than I need!

Gets the job done
I like the concept of being able to use these and collect the let down while nursing. They do stick out a bit so I wouldnât wear these while out and about but they work fine at home. Iâve been able to collect a 2-3 bottle with these and as a just enough producer thatâs a big win.

Excelente coletor para quem está com os seios machucados e precisa de uma sucção menor para coletor!

After 5 weeks of trying to manage an over supply, I feel like this product deserves the raving review! Note that this product is NOT meant to pump milk nor suction it out. If you want to pump go for a double electric pump. This simply catches drips that would otherwise go to waste (which is 3oz to 5oz every morning for me). It’s comfortable to sleep in but I use it during feedings because I catch more milk that way. Wish I started using this earlier, I absolutely adore them! Sioft shells, easily pliable, no leaks and has legs to stand when preparing storage bags. The quality is worth every penny. Bug thanks to the Haakaa founder and team!!
