A Treasure Trove of Natural Healing Wisdom
Herbal Remedies Made Simple is an outstanding guide and an essential read for anyone interested in natural treatments and holistic wellness. Jenningsâ expertise and passion for herbal medicine shine through every page, making this a valuable resource for both beginners like myself as well as seasoned herbalists.Jennings does an excellent job of breaking down complex herbal concepts into easy-to-understand language. Each chapter is thoughtfully organized, covering a wide range of botanicals, their history and their medicinal uses. The step-by-step instructions for making herbal tinctures, teas, infusions, elixirs, decoctions, salves, tonics, topical creams and custom herbal blends are particularly useful. One of the standout features is the comprehensive profiles of various herbs. Each profile includes detailed information about the plantâs medicinal properties, preparation methods, and potential uses for common ailments. The author also included precautions and proper usage of the herbs, with an emphasis on safety — and this demonstrates an adherence to responsible herbal practice. The book is also filled with practical tips for growing and cultivating herbs, as well as DIY remedies that make it easy to put the information into practice and start using herbal remedies in daily life. It also shines in its holistic approach to wellness. Jennings doesnât just focus on the physical benefits of herbs but also integrates discussions on mental and emotional well-being.Overall, I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to explore the world of herbal medicine as an alternative to pharmaceutical drugs. It’s a resource that is both informative and inspiring. Whether youâre looking to improve your health naturally or simply deepen your understanding of medicinal plants, this book is a must-have addition to your collection.

Heal yourself with plants
Many of us have common flowers, plants, and vegetables in our gardens and yards. Who knew there were so many uses for these common plants? I learned that even some of what I call weeds have healthy benefits. This will make me think twice before I pull them out next time.Do your research before you start grazing in your yard to heal all your ailments.I do wish that there were more photos of each of the plants mentioned in the book.

A Wealth of Information!
Herbal Remedies Made Simple is an awesome herbal book loaded with helpful holistic hacks. Besides the plethora of medicinal information, the author also includes a bit of the herbsâ history, which I found interesting. The book is filled with wonderful remedies I canât wait to try, likes teas, tinctures & tonics, along with topical salves. The herbal garden chapter was inspiring as well. Comprehensive Review of Herbals and Health Implications
This book was very easy to understand, and I particularly liked learning how to create my own herbal garden. As someone with health issues, this book was helpful for learning how to support my health in a natural way and avoid as many over-the-counter pharmaceuticals as possible. The quiz was a fun thing to do as well. I found the reference list to be very helpful for reading additional content about my interests.

Herbal Basics
This book has a lot of different herbs that it explains. I like the chapter that explains the symptom first, and then what can be used for it. The only thing is that I got the Kindle version and it was a little hard to navigate through the different herbs in chapter 2 with the herb profiles. I wanted the headings to be bigger so that I could tell when the new herb profile started. I really appreciate the pictures.

An enjoyable read
This book offers a wide range of information on herbal remedies, combinations, cuttings and plantings, and historic uses in different cultures. I found the sections on combining herbs to maximize their efficacy to be most interesting. An interesting and enjoyable read.

This book has a wealth of knowledge that is presented in such a digestible manner. It is evident that thorough research has gone into this as the given recipes and knowledge on ancient remedies is back by ancient practices and core research.

As I have an ongoing health condition, since my stroke, I actively look to find remedies that complement the medications I have to take rather than simply buy over the counter medications based on advertising.I was particularly interested in the section on anti-inflammatories as I’m looking to control my arthritis.I really like the way the book had sections with charts for specific ailments and the various herbal remedy alternatives. That was and will be really useful! And to top off a good book there is also a great section on to how to grow your own herbs at home.

Some interesting information and a good book. 30% of the book is the reference section at the back but it doesnt take away from the useful information on the other pages. Worth a read
