GIVE IT TIME! It will eventually do what it says it will. It WILL work, it just needs to get in your system.
I have extensive insomnia issues that have plagued me since the death of a relative a couple of years back. I used to have multiple nightmares, every night, that would wake me up as I settled into REM and started dreaming. It was literally, a nightmare. I am currently on a combination of medications, and have tried many others in the past, as well. Prazosin eliminated the nightmares, but oddly, I kept waking up, every hour, on the hour!My therapist suggested Deep Sleep as she said she “swears by it.” I was desperate and where melatonin, sleep hygiene, and even medications had failed me, I went ahead and ordered this supplement. I received it and followed the directions, taking one an hour before sleep time and as I laid down, swallowed another. They need a little water but have no flavor and go down with no issue. The first night, nothing. Woke up every hour on the hour. The second night, I woke up six times. The third night, I woke up three times. I’ve been on it a week now and only wake up twice a night now, once to use the restroom, and the second around 1-2 AM for about 20 minutes before I can fall back asleep.I know I have extensive sleep issues and will need a sleep study; I am not overweight (anymore) but sleep apnea could very well be an issue, so I will continue seeking medical assistance. However, I am fully confident this is helping me sleep and has cut my wakefulness overnight by 80%. Eighty. Unreal. My therapist, she loves all-natural stuff, eats organic, can afford the lifestyle. Paying what I pay for this product is on the “pricey” side for me, but for the rest I am now getting, not nodding off during the day, not needing constant naps? It is absolutely worth it.

REVISED REVIEW–HERE’S THE SECRET TO THIS STUFF
So my original review was going to be one star; I took it the first night, didn’t sleep any better (in fact, slept worse) and thought it didn’t work. The second night I took two and didn’t notice much help either. Then on the third night, I took four capsules. Hallelujah!! It worked! So a little background on me–I have *extreme* sleep problems. I can usually fall asleep, but sleep so lightly my sleep monitor registers me as awake. My deep sleep most nights is less than 20 minutes and I wake up feeling like I immediately need a nap.I take Melatonin, L-Theanine (3), Moon Drops, and an evening testosterone supplement that help enable sleep as well. They help me get to sleep but don’t last.Enter Deep Sleep. I took it the last few nights and registered over an hour of deep sleep. I felt like a new person in the morning. But here’s the secret; if you have sleep problems, YOU HAVE TO TAKE MORE THAN THE RECOMMENDED AMOUNT ON THE BOTTLE. One tablet won’t do it if you’re having problems sleeping. And let’s face it, if you’re buying it, you do. Four has helped me finally get the deep sleep I desperately need and is making a big difference. So, if you buy this, start with one tablet and see how it works, but if it doesn’t, keep moving up in pills until you hit the desired result. Trust me it is worth it. If it can work for me, it can work for anyone.

AMAZING PRODUCT!
Out of all of the sleep aids I’ve tried – and trust me, there have been many – this one is by far the winner! I take it as directed – one pill an hour before bedtime, then one more just at bedtime – and I literally fall into the deepest sleep I’ve ever enjoyed. I have lupus and the pain keeps me up most nights, but I’m fast asleep with Deep Sleep and it helps me override the pain. I’m also having several vivid dreams during the night, and I’m still in active dream state when the alarm awakens me. I have no grogginess the next day, in fact I’ve been far more productive than I usually am.

Didn’t make me sleep and gave me a gut ache.
So normally, I wouldn’t trash an herbal remedy for not working. Such is the nature of nature I suppose. Plus, I’ve taken enough pharmaceuticals that didn’t work (or did the opposite of what they were supposed to) to know that you won’t always get what you want out of pills and potions. So the fact that this supplement didn’t help me sleep at all wasn’t really what bugged me about it.What bugged me were the waves of nausea that quickly made sleeping impossible every time I took it. And yes, I followed the instructions and took the pills with plenty of water (and an hour apart; maybe possible stomach discomfort is why the instructions tell you to split the doses by such a large margin). And to be absolutely sure it was the pills, I took them for a week. Though I will admit that this was due as much to stubbornness (and a hatred of wasting money) as it was to a scientific fervor for personal experimentation. Finally, I got tired of feeling like I was going to throw up every night and just threw the bottle away. I’m not sure what caused this reaction. Could have been any of the herbs I guess. I’ll blame the poppy extract. Just because. So anyway, this pill didn’t work for me. Not even in the most basic placebo-related sense. I hope other people have more luck with it, but be aware that it might cause some stomach discomfort. Maybe start by taking one and seeing if that causes nausea, then ramp up the dose if you do okay. Good luck!

Good.
Doesn’t always work, but I suspect this is a result of poor sleep hygiene, not going to bed and getting up at the same time on a regular schedule. I have been a lifelong insomniac, even as a child, and use this as it generally is quite good and doesn’t contain melatonin. I’m not sure I want melatonin as it can leave you drowsy in the am and I want to be immediately sharp. Also I have epilepsy and melatonin potentially can cause seizures in some folks. This is quite safe. Too much valerian can be a bad thing and there is just enough here.

Works but caused a rash for me
The product actually works like it states – I still got up in the middle of the night to use ther estroom but then quickly fell back to sleep! But for me, I had some sort of allergic reaction and ended up with a rash on both arms. I am sure it is just one of the ingredients didn’t sit well with me the product is effective.
