Do Not Purchase – Get the Nanit Instead
I am so disappointed with this monitor and the company’s customer service. As a first time mom, I registered for this monitor and it worked fine for the first couple months. The parent unit screen then suddenly stopped working. It was annoying, but we were still able to see our child using the app on our phones so we weren’t too concerned. Against my better judgement, I purchased a second monitor when pregnant with my second so that we could see both babies on the same parent unit (assuming the new one would work and connect to both monitors) and on the same app. The new monitor was defective and didn’t work from the very start. When I contacted customer service and jumped through the many hoops they had in place to prove the product didn’t work, they spent FOUR MONTHS telling me that my replacement would “likely be shipping soon”. It takes them weeks to respond to my inquiries about my case and I still, four months later, have not received the replacement for their defective and non functioning product. Do yourself a favor and register for the Nanit instead. This monitor and their support team is not worth the headache and is a waste of money.

Where do I start?I really truly loved the app and the cameras, so much that I bought a second with my second baby. Then everything went to crap.-My cameras would disconnect all the time from the app-my second camera would disconnect from the parent monitor mid nap/sleep-my second camera can never be connected to appWhen these issues started I followed the instructions and sent “issue logs” to the company. Nothing was ever responded to or fixed. I troubleshooted the problem and got it to be fixed for a short period and then it would go out again.Once reaching out for a replacement to be sent, I was told it was a hardware issue. I was told I was one week past warranty being valid so my only options were to be sent to the sales team to buy new or pay for it to be shipped to their “issues team” to maybe fix and then pay for it to be shipped back to me.Did the product work at first, yes, was the customer service terrible when things went wrong? Absolutely and for that reason I will never recommend this company.

Magnetic base is WAY better than standard screw-types
Audio isn’t as good at picking up sounds as my other Hubble models, and the video quality isn’t especially good (not to say it’s lower quality than advertised: I just found myself regretting the choice of this lower resolution model more than I’d anticipated). The viewer unit battery life is disappointing but not terrible. Consistently middle of the pack and priced accordingly is probably the most precise way I can summarize this particular item. On the OTHER hand, though, is the camera base design. The camera itself is held magnetically to the base and doesn’t droop in the magnetic fulcrum as I’d worried would happen. The base itself is awesome due to eschewing the typical screw connector standard amongst most tripods and similar camera mounting gear. Instead you can either mount the base to a wall with a pair od small screws from which it can easily be disconnected or reconnected in a few seconds at any time. OR, my personal favorite feature of the whole setup, the base can magnetically attach to existing metal fixtures with its magnet being much more than strong enough to hang upside down from HVAC vents in the ceiling or even a fraction of its own area worth of metal such as when I used it for days flawlessly held in place with the magnet attached to nothing more than a pair of ordinarily sized screws’ heads in a preexisting bookshelf.
