Why is there black stuff coming out of the water filter?
The black particles are activated carbon, which is commonly used in water filters to capture particles. It’s normal for a small amount to slightly come out during shipping. This is similar to water pitcher filters, which need to be rinsed before use.
Can the air purification function be used alone? How?
Yes, you can use the air purification function alone. Simply ignore the “add water” icon on the screen. The machine will operate without adding water, and there’s no need to remove the water tank.
Does it automatically drain water?
This product combines a humidifier and purifier, so it doesn’t drain water like a dehumidifier. If you need to empty the water, you can pour it out and use the purifier function to dry the top water tank, or wipe it clean with a cloth.
What do the numbers on the screen mean?
The numbers on the screen show the current room humidity. In Auto mode, the fan speed adjusts according to the humidity level, but you cannot manually set the humidity.
Note: The water filter, made of ceramic and carbon particles, works like a water pitcher filter. For first use, if black carbon residue appears, simply rinse or soak before use. It’s harmless, and the second humidifying layer provides extra purification.

Two Appliances in One, Works Great
This combo appliance is really nice for where I live. It gets both dry and dusty, as well as smokey air during the wildfire season. This appliance is easy to install and set up. Even though the water reservoir is not huge, it is easy to clean and refill. There are not a lot of different parts that have to be taken apart and scrubbed. Humidifiers tend to get very noisy if they build up hard water deposits, so that will be the tester on this device. So far (about a week) it is running perfectly. It has an auto setting, excellent for the daytimeâit runs as needed to keep the humidity level steady-which is displayed for you. Then I flip it to night time setting, which turns off the display and it runs super quiet for the night. It must be refilled about every 24 hours, so I just add filling the small reservoir to my bedtime routine. If the water runs low at night it does not flash the red indicator in night modeâit just runs the air filter, so no middle of the night beeping or flashing. This humidifier Air Cleaner Combo has excellent features and, so far, is a very good value.

Impressive
This thing is impressive. I let it run in the bedroom all day while I was at work and it definitely made a difference. The room tends to get stuffy and stale since it’s in a corner on the second floor, but after running all day, it’s feels much fresher and lighter in here. I love that it’s a 2 in 1. If the place feels dry, you just add some water. But if you don’t need moisture, you can just leave the water tank empty and it will balance out the humidity on it’s own.
Definitely recommend for kitty households, or those who live in old/stuffy buildings.

Simple set up and works well!
Easy to set up and works very well! I will say the humidifier portion seems to run out overnight pretty quickly. But our bedroom has been extremely low humidity, so thatâs probably why. When I have it filled up, it is raising the room humidity to a more normal rate. And it seems to be keeping the air fresh.

My youngest son has severe asthma and requires a humidifer and an air purifier every night. This does both things at once and it has a water filter so you can use tap water. Itâs quiet. It tells you the humidity percentage and when the water needs refilled and the filter changed if you watch the screen. This is a really great purchase for our guy with allergies and significant respiratory issues!
