The Rolls Royce of Video Monitors
About a year ago we bought the iBaby M6s and were very happy with it, but the M7 easily bests it in almost every way. The shape and overall design is unchanged, as is the app, but now the M7 adds improved wireless performance, easier setup, improved night vision and video quality, a CO2 sensor, and also a moonlight/star projector. While the M6s required you to do the initial setup via a USB cable between your phone and the camera, the M7 now does the setup via wi-fi, so you can mount the camera and then set it up easier. The app walks you through this process of copying over whatever wi-fi network you are on and connecting the camera with your iBaby online account that the app is signed into. Then you can view and listen to the monitor on your phone wherever you are and also invite others to have access through their iBaby account/app.We use the wall mount over our daughter’s crib, and it is so helpful to be able to see what she is doing, especially when she wakes up from a nap and starts pulling herself up on the crib rail. It is also helpful that we can share access to the camera with our nanny as she uses it daily. My wife even likes connecting to watch from work sometimes so it is nice that you can view the camera without being home on the same network. The app allows you to watch video, listen to audio even when the app is in the background or the phone’s screen is off, talk back into the camera to soothe your child, or even play music out of the camera’s speaker. There is now also a button to activate the star projector either from the app or on the base that the camera attaches to.On the technical side, the camera can get up to 1080p and works on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. If you are having trouble setting it up or with the connection, most issues are resolved by making sure the signal is good enough in that room where you are trying to use the camera. It is transmitting audio and HD video after all, so connection strength and speed are important, but we have not had any issues with the M7 that were not solved by restarting our router or changing channels to avoid interference.Overall, I think this this is a great product, and the iBaby team has always been very helpful and responsive to any questions we’ve had.

Full Featured Baby Monitor – Easy to Use
We carefully researched many baby monitors, talked to friends, and landed on the iBaby. Overall we are very happy with our selection for the following reasons:- It is easy to setup- It has a full suite of features including good night vision, good sound quality, a wide range of motion, stats on the room including temperature, and a number of other bells and whistles- The alerts and sound work even when the monitor application is running in the background on your phone or tablet meaning you don’t miss a cry for help- It is possible to view the monitor at home or away with an Internet connection- The picture is reliable and quick to load when you open the applicationOverall we have had no significant issues with the monitor. There have been a few times when the app was not able to connect with the camera but rebooting the camera and our router immediately fixed the issue (likely a router issue). And you do have to be thoughtful about where you mount the monitor to make sure that the range of motion is optimized to give you the review of the room you are looking to achieve.

A smart, smart baby monitor.
As of 12/9/2018 about a month after buying, the baby monitor still looks good. We bought this in preparation for our daughter coming in January and so far have seen minimal to no issues. This is a great monitor. A bit pricey, but worth it for the features for our growing family. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the picture for both night vision and regular- the functions worked surprisingly well over our internet, a high-speed connection. My boyfriend uses an iPhone and I have a Samsung. The app on both devices works fine, but you will find a lot more negative reviews in the app store for the android than you’ll see in the apple store. For Android: When loaded into the app, it will run in the background and drain the battery a little faster- with androids the battery is already something to be concerned about, so there’s not much you can do but keep a charger handy. If you leave the app running and leave the page, or have multiple pages running in the background, you will run the risk of the app itself crashing- if that happens you will need to force-exit it and reload into the camera, depending on how much is saved to your phone it will need to load back in. For me, this takes about 45 seconds. For me, this isn’t an issue- but fair warning to some looking to buy it. If you want an instant connection all the time, a classic monitor that comes with its own screen may be better than using your android. For the iPhone, the video comes in more zoomed in than the android for some reason but works fine. The app itself is pretty nice. It’s organized, comes with many songs and story options and works anywhere with internet or data. You can set it to alert you if it senses movement, if the temperature or humidity of the room changes too much, or even if there’s a strange odor. The swivel movement of the video is capable of being changed right from your phone screen. There’s also the option to take videos and pictures and save them and even post them to a convenient app timeline which you can invite family to so they can get an update if you wanted.Lastly, of what impressed me was the two-way talk capability- it was far clearer than expected. We’ve played with it so much since getting it and while I don’t know how often we’ll be using it, it is certainly nice to have! I’m sure the quality will vary from phone to phone and depending on how much junk is saved to it, but for my moderately used phone and my boyfriend’s heavily used phone- it works just fine. Like many tech products, things do change sometimes, I’ll try to come back and give an update on the quality when the baby is actually here, but for now- a solid 4 to 4.5 stars.I went down from five simply because the app, while nice, does have a habit of freezing, crashing and needs to be reloaded every once in a while. This is common for androids with any app, not just this one- but it is an issue that people might want to know before they buy.
