Outdated Ingredients List
I can’t eat coconut. It’s not bad enough that I worry about cross contamination, but it’s definitely a problem to eat it. I got these, but as I’ve learned the ingredient lists are very often outdated or incomplete on Amazon. Instead of olive oil the box I got used coconut oil/MCT oil as the binder. I had to give it away.In general though, Iberogast is a great product, my gastro dr recommended it so I tried it and the results are so good. I use the drops and while the flavor is strong it’s not horrible. I gave my friend the gel caps and she loves them. If you hate mint or licorice the gel caps are great, you can’t taste them and it does not come back up on you like some stuff.

Effective, but physically flawed
Iberogast works for dyspepsia and may also be at least partially effective for gastroparesis. However, the gel caps are physically problematic. They are squishy and difficult to remove from the blister pack. They also have an off-chochately taste. The manufacturer seemed unconcerned with this, unfortunately.

Works but…
I got this product for symptoms of burping, gas, cramps, bloating and indigestion. It completely stopped all my symptoms after the first use. But here’s the caveat. I have HT (Histamine Intolerance). The first time I tried it I got a severe headache. A symptom of histamine overload. I had eaten out so I was suspicious but wasn’t 100% sure that it was the product. So the next day I tried it again before I began to eat and again I got the same severe headache. I have a feeling that it’s possible that the ingredients are fermented. Which would increase the histamine level exponentially in this product. It’s unfortunate that I will not be able to continue to use this product because it does work very well. But if you have HIstamine Intolerance try using a product that has peppermint only in it.

Reducing intestinal discomfort
During my period I always have bloating and a feeling of swollen and lazy bowels with a cramps. So painkillers only work on the pain for a short time, but the discomfort remains. I used to drink peppermint tea, which made the condition a little easier, and then I tried Iberogast for an experiment, as it also contains herbs, and surprisingly, my days went almost unnoticed and the level of intestinal pain was much lower. Yes, his recommendations are a little different, but I discovered this effect for myself, since I suffer more from this than from overeating. They have a fairly affordable price per pack of capsules. The capsules are medium-sized and easy to swallow. I didn’t feel any aftertaste after taking it.
