I have EDS, so I have extra collagen in my entire body. While that may sound nice thanks to lack of wrinkles, it isnât so nice when it comes to my joints. Iâm hypermobile, and so for a long time I would do party tricks by popping joints out of socket. This caused major wear on specific joints; I also just have overall crappy joints due to the extra collagen, but a few are especially bad. I loved doing yoga with my mom as a kid, and when my doctor recommended I do yoga to see if it helps with my joint stability, I was all for it. Even if it didnât do much for my joints, I had a nice excuse to get a yoga mat and other supplies. I had a different mat picked out originally, but then I saw this one and thought âoh my gosh this perfectâ. Added it to my cart and bought it without a second thought. It took about a week for it to arrive, and I was so excited when I opened it up!! Iâve used it daily the last few days, and I am in love with it. The texture is the perfect amount of grip without feeling sticky like some other mats, and the stretches and poses on it are wonderful. The poses/stretches are very detailed and easy to replicate, and all the poses are labeled, which was wonderful for me to relearn the names as I havenât done yoga in years. If youâre thinking about getting a yoga mat, get this one!!On top of just the mat being completely wonderful, it is actually helping with my joints!! Itâs obviously not a miracle for me as I will have a life long disorder, but it definitely helping with the pain and with my joints not subluxing and dislocating as much, and itâs only been a few days!!

I love that both sides are color coded for different exercises. The mat does stink a bit when you first get it but it does go away after a day. Some of the poses range from beginner to advance but as someone who’s an absolute novice, it’s easy to follow along with the poses.

Having the pictures on there is really nice when youâre just looking to throw in a few extra moves or wanna create your own flow. Itâs sturdy. Itâs well marked and it is just as they advertised.

This mat may not be the âcoolestâ looking mat around, but it was exactly what I needed getting into yoga!I started with a freebie yoga class on the beach and really enjoyed it. Then I progressed to doing my own yoga exercises by looking online on my phone. Boy that was so inconvenient, constantly picking up my phone to see what move was next. This mat was perfect bc you can see all the moves right on the mat! Most times youâre downward facing anyway. There are so many different positions too so youâll never get bored.I also love how easy to clean this mat is. Most times there are crevices that the cleaner gets stuck in. This is easy to wipe right off and drys fast too. Itâs also super soft and comfortable, and it rolls right up that you can take it anywhere with you. I did bring it camping where there was so service and the pictures came it super handy.Very satisfied with this purchase! ð
