Helps me sleep and a good value
For years I have suffered from chronic insomnia and the ingredient in this product works well for me. I was “hooked” on the name brand with this ingredient, but found the Kirkland brand (originally found at Costco) works just as well, but for much less money. The pills are blue and oval in shape. They are small (less than 1/2″) and are scored in the middle which allows me to easily brake them in half. I find half of a pill often works for me.I try to take one at least 30 minutes before I climb into bed and they work fairly quickly. What I really love is that there is no grogginess or hangover feeling the next morning.I do not take these every night, but on the evenings when I have a lot on my mind I will take 1/2 to 1 pill and they definitely help me to sleep, and I don’t wake up in the middle of the night! Great product.

Has helped me sleep much better!
This pill is amazing! I’ve had a lot of trouble sleeping before I research and decided to take this pill. I would toss and turn, feel restless which would make me upset and less likely to sleep. I gave a chance on this, and the first few days I already saw a difference. I take this about 30 to 40 mins before I want to go to bed. I will feel sleepy and wanting to go to bed. I have woken up much later than I usually do, and I love that! Since then, I have taken it every day. I even ordered another pair to have. It was that good for me. I have experimented and took 2. When I take 2, I feel like I want to be in bed all day and nothing else. There were times I had things to do and I would feel groggy when waking up. I’d feel sluggish, and just wanting to rest. A friend of mine also took one and the effects did not wear off until the evening of the next day! I also feel relaxed when I take this before I go to bed and when I wake up if I feel groggy. But for wanting to sleep in this works wonders. I’ve been getting much better rest using this pill, and I will continue to buy more of these. I’m glad I took a chance with this pill, and it has paid off. I would like to point out though, I’ve had some weird dreams from using this. Although most of the dreams were pretty cool, there are some that when I woke I was like wow, I’d never of really dreamt of that. But all in all, for the price, it is worth it.

I’m an Insomniac and I say this stuff works!!
I have had trouble either falling asleep or staying asleep as far back as I can remember. As I get older, it is the staying asleep that is crippling me. I might (or might not) be able to fall asleep, but if I do I am awake in an hour or two, and cannot get back to sleep. I am constantly sleep deprived. I have tried melatonin and Hyland’s Insomnia, both of which did not help me sleep (however, Hyland’s Insomnia does have a mild calming effect during the day). I had been taking Ambien for the past two years, and have been off of it now for three months. It helped me sleep, but not much better than Sleep Aid, and it wasn’t consistent. Sometimes I still found myself watching the sunrise. This over-the-counter Sleep Aid works pretty well. I take it an hour before bed, and it makes me just drowsy enough to say, “I think I’ll turn in.” Otherwise, I don’t want to go to bed. I do fall asleep pretty well. I still wake up several times a night, but find I can get back to sleep, even when I think I’m too awake to possibly sleep anymore. I give it a few minutes, and usually get more sleep. And you only need one pill. If you are a better sleeper than I am, you will probably love this (or may find it too strong – I don’t know the meaning of too strong). I don’t have morning grogginess or weird dreams. Just some pretty lovely chunks of sleep. It is absolutely worth a try.

Hello Sleep Zzzzz. Good bye bed tosses.
I think it’s ideal if you’re hoping to have a long night’s sleep. I been using them for almost 3yrs now and love it!It might not be the right choice, however, if you’re planning on going to bed late and getting up at the crack of dawn. There’s no official statement on the exact number of hours that it stays in the body, and it depends on various factors such as your size, metabolism and age.So to be on the safe side, it’s probably best to keep in mind that if you have to get up less than 8 hours after taking it and rush out of the house to work, you may still feel a bit drowsy. But if you have time on your hands to get a good night’s sleep and wake up slowly, then the Kirkland sleep aid could suit you well.In terms of safety, Doxylamine doesn’t cause problems with addiction like many prescription sleeping pills do. And you won’t find you need to increase the dosage night after night. So if you need an over the counter sleeping pill to help you overcome a period of bad sleep, this is a very effective option.

Effective sleep aid in unexpected packaging….
A small heads up first…If this is a product that works well for you, as it does for me, it’s difficult to find anything to fault. However, my recent reorder of this item arrived, not in the “described” bottles, but rather, in the all-too-common blister card packaging. Honestly, the bottles are the ONLY reason I’ve purchased this Kirkland brand of Doxylamine in the past. Might as well get the generic brand at one of the large superstores, which I’ve used before to my complete satisfaction. One last thing. Those of you who have found this to be TOO strong, with drowsiness the following day, may want to try splitting the pill in half. Several years ago, over a couple weeks testing, I found my best dosage to be 3/4 of one pill. It gets me groggy about 30 minutes after taking it and typically leads me to 5 to 7 hours of sleep. I don’t have any type of “hangover” the next day. It’s easy to snap the pill in half since it’s scored. A cheap pill splitter works well to cut a half pill in two so long as you have a relatively steady hand to line it up. Be sure to keep your fingers away from the blade 😉
