Good size but not sure on the material
I’ve had so many loaves stick to the bottom of my dutch oven that I thought I’d give these slings a try – but I have not gone all the way yet. They are very thin, and seem to prefer to be rolled up vs flat. Seems if you place them upside down they hold their position better. I’m hesitant to bake with them though since my boules start at 500 – and the product images can’t agree if the max temp on these is 450 or 500. The material doesn’t really appear food grade to me, I’m not sure what it is honestly. I think I’ll give them a shot on a less hot, country style loaf.

I was excited to get these as I make artisan bread in my Lodge Dutch oven fairly often. I usually end up cutting parchment paper down to size to keep the bread from sticking. This will be perfect for not only saving time, but being able to lift the bread from the pan too.I was a bit surprised it appeared small. My fault for not reading measurements. However, I’m sure this is going to work just fine. I also like it is not a silicone material. This is like a heat proof grill mat, which is thinner, more heat resistant, and won’t show scorch marks.Excuse me while I go start a batch of bread !
