Excellent Option For Knee Injury That Doesn’t Extend To Leg
This is an excellent option for a knee brace after an injury, where the brace is of course approved by your doctor as being the type of brace that you actually need and where the injury is limited to the knee.One of the big problems in medical-braces these days is that so many vendors are selling braces mislabeled as being for a specific type of injury, when the brace isn’t actually appropriate for that injury and might even make the injury worse, because of where the brace applies pressure. But this brace is actually suitable for a knee injury and is safe to use if your injury is limited to the knee.While this is suitable for knee injuries and injuries to connective tissue in and immediately surrounding the knee, because the brace is designed to stabilize the knee and limit range of motion in the knee while supporting the knee, it is not appropriate for injuries extending to the upper or lower leg, bone injuries, or complex injuries that may affect the surrounding muscle tissue extending either up or down the leg. The reason it can’t be used for injuries extending beyond the immediate knee area is that the brace itself relies on applying constant pressure to the muscle and ligaments just a few inches above and a few inches below the knee, making the brace harmful if you have any injury in those parts of the leg.With all of that caution and instruction given, if you have an injury to the knee itself, with no pain in the upper or lower leg, then this is actually rather amazing at stabilizing and limiting movement in the knee in order to promote healing. It’s a standard design, very similar to a medical brace we used years ago with a similar injury, and it’s very sturdy and well-made. We found no flaws and we had no issues in using this brace, and there was nothing wrong with the mechanism or the tightness of the brace after adjustment. The sizing was accurate, at least to our measurements, and the brace was effective at reducing movement while also reducing pain caused by movement in the injured knee. The person in our family who used this has an old injury that “acts up” from time to time, but which also actually suffers reinjury due to moving the knee too much and in the wrong way, and the main benefit of this brace was that it effectively stopped him from moving too much without thinking, which is the main danger after injury. When we don’t realize how limited our range of motion needs to be, we tend to move and hurt ourselves during healing, and this effectively prevented him from moving without thinking, forcing him to rest the knee so that it could heal.

Sturdy and effective; ease of use is OK
First of all, I love the support from this brace. If a bit of hassle getting it on and off is the inevitable cost of that excellent support, I’m happy to accept it. I have chronic knee pain and this has made a huge difference in pain levels; I can go on long walks and handle mild downhills again without noticeable pain. That’s a big change, as my knee pain pre-brace is constant when standing or walking.The brace is sturdy with a metal enclosure for the leg and bars top and bottom. It’s a little heavier than the other offloading brace I use, but it’s also stronger in support and no-slip positioning. I really like that this brace can be used on either leg and that it attaches very securely. The six velcro straps give a no-slip support that I can make snugger or looser as my needs require. It also comes with spare condyle pads and metal straps buckles.The six straps do make this a bit more of a chore to put on, as does the fact that it’s a step-through entry that I can’t do with my shoe on. Even in loose pants, I have to take my shoes off. This also lacks any sort of quick-release feature, so you need to adjust every strap every time. Still, there’s something to be said for that; this brace always fits well and gives very solid support.Overall, I’m very happy with the quality, construction, and functionality of this brace. It’s made a big difference in my pain-free mobility.

Fits and functions well
This knee brace is supposed to be ambidextrous and fit either leg. On my right leg it sits twisted to the left. I tried to adjust it several times and it keeps rotating pressing the right pad info my knee cap on the right. The adjustable straps are great with plenty of adjustments. Trying the left leg to see if there is any fitment issues. It is a sturdy built brace and comfortable to wear at first, and the hinges work good keeping you from hyperextending your knee.

Serious knee brace
Serious knee brace! I got this to help keep my knee straight when it was painful a few months ago after a fall when I was running. The straps keep it in place and the brace keeps your knee straight and supported.

Very sturdy and stabalizing while maintaining comfort
I use a knee brace when I’m playing sports and the last one I had finally lost all of it’s padding and comfort and so I started looking for another one. The precision of the make of this item and the comfort in wearing it has made me wonder why I have waited so long to make the switch. The security of my knee when fully secured in the brace is wonderful. The side to side movement isn’t any different than my previous brace – it prevents that so I can’t injure the knee. The solid construction while also being lightweight is the best of all the worlds of knee braces. I would highly recommend this if you just need a way to make it through a recovery period after surgery or therapy or just want some more stability if you are going to be more active in sports, athletics, lifting, or cross-fit.
