Purrfect Alternative Treatment for Arthritis and More for Pets, No more throw ups
I have 2 beautiful and large Ragdoll Service cats. Unfortunately arthritis is something we all suffer from at one time or another, including our pets. Larger pets suffer earlier, and cats often hide the initial stages. Often treatments consist of pills, treats, or some other supplement, your finicky cat may or may not eat. And if they do eat it, they may or may not throw it back up 10 minutes later along with their meal. My oldest cat is more finicky than any I’ve seen before and refuses to eat “tainted” food. That is, if I try to add anything to her food as a treatment, she won’t eat. So when we heard about the LumaSoothe, I knew we had to try it. Finally, a treatment that doesn’t cause any harmful side effects and something your pet will actually enjoy. No more uneaten meals or throw ups right after the meal. My cat (Dezi) loves “treatment time” so much, she often tries to open the box herself. The LumaSoothe comes in a sturdy box with both the IR Deep Treatment Head and the ST Surface Treatment Head. This is a great value, as these could be sold as two separate machines. Thankfully LumaSoothe makers seem to care more abut providing relief and quality to our pets than just making money. The LumaSoothe is rechargeable and comes with both the USB charging cable as well as an adapter to plug right into the wall outlet. The charging light is easy to see, so there’s no question as to when the unit is ready for use. During the treatment, the LumaSoothe head does warm up. It doesn’t get hot and is not uncomfortable for your pet. Based on the purrs, I would say it’s very relaxing. There is a built in shut off after 15 minutes that will turn the LumaSoothe off, signaling the end of the treatment. We have been doing a 15 minute treatment per day, and occasionally a second short treatment when Dezi gets the box open herself. She really does enjoy treatment time. Although my youngest cat is not yet 1 year old, she wants to get a treatment as well. It’s so nice to know, this isn’t going to hurt her or cause any adverse side effects. And we can also use the included Surface Treatment head to encourage fur growth where she was shaved for her spay surgery. The heads are easy to change out and wipe clean. I have been using light therapy for myself for years. It’s nice to finally have those same benefits for my girls. Although we’ve not been using the LumaSoothe for long, the fur appears to be growing back quicker than before on my youngest. And Dezi is holding her tail a bit higher, jumping a bit higher and walking a little easier already. With continued use, I only expect to see more improvement. We highly recommend the LumaSoothe for any household with pets.Pros:All Natural, Nothing to eat and upset the animal’s tummy, Soothing, Easy to use, Convenient rechargeable unit, Easy to switch out treatment heads, One time cost, Can be used for all pets in the home, Portable: easy to take if you travel, Sturdy packaging great for storing the LumaSoothe in between treatments.Cons:I really have tried to find one, but haven’t yet. Other than it may be a little cost prohibitive for some initially. But, if you’re treating these conditions with treats or supplements or even prescription meds, and add up the cost, I really think you’ll see the LumaSoothe would be cheaper in the long run and have far less side effects. And it may take a couple of treatments before you notice improvement. But I believe you will see improvement if you stick with it.Disclaimer: We received the LumaSoothe at no charge to review for our blog about Service Cats. DezizWorld rarely raves about any product nor agrees to post reviews to third party services. However, we are so pleased with the results, value and ease of use, we agreed to write a review here as well. All opinions are solely our own and based on actual use of the LumaSoothe.

    WORKED FOR MY SENIOR YORKIE
Our little 5 pound Yorkie – when he was about 15 years old – spun around quickly and hit the side of his head on a chair leg, resulting in a terrible muscle strain. Normally a very stoic little guy, he was in awful pain and cried when you just came near his neck and shoulder. Took him to our vet immediately and they gave him a cold laser treatment. We purchased a series of treatments for the next four weeks. It worked but was very costly for a 2 to 3 minute treatment. Being a DIY kind of person, and a pet parent who left no stone unturned when it came to our little guy’s wellbeing, I started looking into home-based devices to treat him. I found this LED light therapy device, which was a fraction of the cost of cold laser treatments. Figured it might be a good investment since it had good reviews for efficacy. Turned out to be a great investment! From that time until we lost our little guy just shy of his 19th birthday, we used that device frequently to treat all sorts of ailments – achy muscles, wound healing, skin irritation, etc. We were amazed at how quickly he responded to the treatments, and you know there’s not a placebo effect with dogs. On a subsequent visit to the vet, we mentioned how we were using this device with great success,, and our vet snottily commented… “well, is it as effective as my $20,000 cold, laser machine?” He wasn’t too happy when we replied…yes! For anyone wondering whether or not this works through fur, it did for us. Now, if our dog had really long and thick hair, I don’t know if it would’ve been effective. I always cut my Yorkie’s hair short on the body and neck. But his legs had longer hair there, and we did successfully treat him on his legs and hips. But super dense fur? Probably a question best asked of the manufacturer.

Can’t say it is helping, can’t say it isn’t!
I purchased this because my dog’s chyropratcor said it could help his inflammation in his back. I had also hoped it would stop a cyst from growing on his paw and would stimulate hair growth in areas he is losing fur from alopecia x. It did nothing for the cyst or fur growth. I am not sure if it alleviated any back pain or not. He seemed a bit “bothered” by me using it on him despite the facts he was just napping anyway. I can’t say it didn’t help with his muscle inflammation but I can’t say it didn’t either. I just don’t see any vast change in how he is moving around. It may just be too low dose. The Dr said “if you can afford to buy it, you should try it”.

    Great Product!
My cat had a few skin issues (post-surgery recovery and scabs from being nervous from a move) that were persistent. After talking with my vet, we decided that light therapy could work. They helped me with finding a few and I came across LumaSmooth!I would definitely purchase this product if your cat or dog needs the light therapy. I was skeptical at first, but, if red light therapy works on humans, then I know light therapy will work on animals. It is a great value for the money you pay!The light is bright so avoid eye contact with yourself and your pet when using the product. It also has a long battery life!

Do I believe in red light therapy? Yes.
We are still in the process of pinning down the source of my cats allergies with the help of a veterinary dermatologist. Her main symptom is itchiness, with visibly irritated skin around her chin/sides of her mouth. She will scratch until drawing blood at times. We tried this device for about 10 days and saw no noticable change in skin irritation, unfortunately. I did have high hopes based on specific mention of allergies in the device pamphlet.Do I believe that this likely works for alot of pet ailments? Yes. Did it work for my cat? No.Side note – I wish the return policy was 45 days! I found myself thinking between: could this actually work with more time? *and* worrying about returning it so I don’t waste $200 if not….*sigh*

Bought this as an alternate to taking my 4 yr old pug to a holistic vet for red light therapy across town frequently. He suffers from pinched nerves in his lower spine and his episodes were occurring closer together, from 8 months between to less than 1 month over the course of the last 18 months. That last episode, I knew I had to try something different and bought this. It’s now been 6 weeks since that last episode so time will tell but I’m feeling really good about it. Another med besides the usual gabapentin/rimadyl is pure methocarbamol (pure ingredient in robaxacet) has been a life saver. Over the counter at the pharmacy and just cut up the pill into 1/4 or 1/8s. Will update if another episode presents itself but just getting past the 4 week mark was a win already at the rate he was going. 2 year warranty is great and I just had to charge the battery today for the first time since I got it after nice daily use. Easy to use, we do it right before bedtime when he’s tucked in and doesn’t even notice it. Might even like it but hard to tell. If you’re thinking about it, try it. I’m seeing great results so far!

Facile à utiliser et le chien n’avait pas peur il sait même endormi. Le seul point négatif est que les instructions sont toutes en anglais et nous on comprend rien

I was very skeptical at first that this could actually help our dog. She is almost 10, a large king shepherd and she has bad arthritis in all of her joints. Last week she wasn’t putting weight on one leg suddenly and I thought there was nothing we could do. I borrowed a Lumasoothe off a coworker and by the next day our dog was walking on her leg again. By the 3rd day she was walking normal with no signs of pain. We bought our own and now use it twice a day on all of her joints and she loves it. She lies back and goes to sleep when we use it. I’m a believer now!

Hard to tell how well it works on pets because they can’t tell you. So I tried it on my tennis elbow and sore hands. Definitely made a difference. Used it many times before it required a charge. Very user friendly. Would be nice if protective glasses were included.
