Freaking Awesome
As stated above, these straw tops are freaking awesome. Right out off the box the quality craftsmanship is obvious, no mold lines, the feel is nice and the brand name (and made in USA;) is subtle. As for the design/ functionality, freaking genius. The top can be used with the straw or without a a sippy cup. The straw securely fits into the spout which has a barrier with a cross shaped valve so liquid does not spill out but any liquid left in the top gets pulled back into the cup, there are two spill-proof vales that work perfectly, the straw is long enough to use in a pint jar or can be cut for ½ pints and the packaging is minimal (which I appreciate). Form & Function âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸

Very convenient and easy way to go plastic free
In LOVE with this company! I had so many jars left over from canning that I had no idea what to do with. I didnât know how to repurpose them until an ad for Mason Bottle came across my Facebook feed. There are no crevices for mold to grow and theyâre super convenient to clean. The silicone sleeve adds grip and protection if dropped. A very easy way to go plastic free and reuse items around the house. I canât wait to use the bottle nipples for our next baby! The only downfall is if you push down on the top, water will squirt out. Not a deal breaker though.

My 10 month old is able to use this product easily and it doesnât leak. I like that you can use it as a straw or a sippy cup and it fits the mason jars I already have!

Leakiest straw ever!
I wanted to like this product so badly, but it just does not work. The straw top leaks all over the place, which is especially inconvenient considering I bought these to use exclusively for milk. I have tried everything to get it to stop leaking and nothing works. Itâs not a poor design, itâs a poor execution.

Leaks.
I have purchased other mason bottle products and thought I was going to love this too, however it is NOT spill proof and when you assemble it with the straw when you push down on the top, which a child inevitably will do, it squirts water out. It works slightly better without the straw, but still leaks and I wanted a straw cup not a sippy.I tried reaching out to Mason Bottles customer service before writing this review and this is what I have to say about their customer service team. 1. It took forever to get a response 4 days when you get an auto email saying theyâll respond in 24hours typically. 2. When some finally responded their solution was for me to âfollow the instructionsâ which I obviously did or I wouldnât be reaching out. 3. I replied to their email that I had followed the instructions and to see if they had any other recommendations and have still not received a reply.

Difficult to suck
It’s a little difficult to suck out liquids using both parts of the straw. So we stopped using the inner part and it works a lot better.

Obsessed with these
These are pretty cool, my 15 month old uses them with koozies because mason jars are tough but not toddler tough. The slim can koozies fit the regular 8oz jars and you can fold them down or leave them up to protect the metal bands. They will get dented with drops so I like to leave them up. Also the standard can koozies fit the shorter/wider âperfect masonâ jars. I use the 12oz mason jars with my older child so they are great for all ages. I do see if you push the tops they can squirt as other reviews said but we really only use these with water so Iâm ok with it. I would still purchase again knowing this. The straws are thick and I love how the inner straw comes out for easy washing. We know toddlers like to bite so I see these holding up to chomping. Overall I am very please with these.
