Soothingly soft washable pads made with organic merino wool. Designed by a Danish nurse, these organic breast pads were made to be newborn necessities.
Made of KbT-certified organic merino wool, interwoven in a special, patented method.
This style “Softline” comes in 2 variations, Regular and Extra Thickness.
Untreated wool can absorb up to 40% of its weight in moisture, without feeling wet. When damp, the pads feel warm, rather than cold and clammy, as with cotton or disposable breast pads.
Particularly soothing with vasospasms.
Scandinavian midwives have traditionally advised breastfeeding mothers to keep their breasts warm to prevent plugged ducts. Larger sizes provide gentle, soothing warmth for this purpose. Intended to fill the entire bra cup, they are actually less noticeable through clothing.
Wool breathes, to maintain comfortable temperature in warmth or cold (including air-conditioned environments). Wool’s natural oil, lanolin, provides self-cleansing properties for easy care. Wash occasionally, on average every couple weeks, with lanolin-replenishing soap, to optimize wool’s unique properties.
The wool pads can be used together with lanolin and other ointments, commonly used in breastfeeding.
Even women who feel they are allergic to wool can often wear these pads – many react to the chemicals used to extract lanolin from the wool; no such chemicals are used on this wool.
Sold as set of 2 pads (one pair). Available in a variety of sizes and styles to suit each woman’s needs.

UAB LNA-LANACARE
LANACare’s soothingly soft, reusable nursing pads, in organic merino wool, were specially designed by a Danish nurse. The pads are made of interwoven wool fibers, making them light-weight and absorptive. Many find them more comfortable than disposables or cotton – wool absorbs the milk, keeping skin dry, and breathes, to maintain comfortable temperature in warmth or cold. These are new mom essentials!
Most women need only 2-3 pairs for entire nursing period. Wool’s self-cleansing properties prolong need for washing. Wool’s natural oil, lanolin is activated as the wool absorbs moisture. Wash, on average every couple weeks with lanolin-replenishing woolwash to maintain wool’s unique properties.
Scandinavian midwives have traditionally advised breastfeeding mothers to keep their breasts warm to help prevent plugged ducts. Larger sizes provide gentle, soothing warmth and are intended to fill the entire bra cup. Wool’s breathability and temperature-regulating properties maintain a comfortable temperature against skin.
Small, 6 inch diameter. Most popular & universally recommended size. Regular thickness. Cup size B-DD or larger. Sold as set of 2 pads-1 pair. (Take note – these are larger than most women expect! Cup size is a guideline – please choose size based on measurements.)
Women find these soothing with any soreness associated with breastfeeding, particularly vasospasms. Designed by Danish nurse. Imported by lactation consultant.
Customers say
Customers appreciate the comfort, quality, and warmth of the baby product. They find it soft, cozy, and form well to their breasts. Many consider it a high-quality product that is better than bamboo or disposables. The wool keeps the breast warm and helps relieve pain. However, some customers have mixed opinions on absorbency, size, washability, and leakage.

Great reusable pads
These were great to have when my supply was still regulating itself. They are soft and warm and I only had to wash them with wool wash once every couple of weeks. In my experience, what I read about wool pads proved true. I wore wool pads from the moment my milk came in and did not have dry or cracked nipples and only had one incident of a plugged milk duct. Could be coincidence, or could be that wool is really that helpful when breastfeeding! I tried both the regular and extra thick pads and the regular were best for me (I would wake up sweating when wearing the thicker ones). Iâm a size 36b and the 6in diameter worked well for me. I also liked having 2 pairs so that while one pair was being washed/air dried, I had another to wear. The air dry can take a while since they arenât recommended to dry in direct sunlight. All in all Iâm happy I went with this reusable natural fiber option!

Best breast pads ever!
These are definitely worth the money. They absorb so much and are really comfortable to wear. I got 2 pairs, which is all I need because they dry pretty quickly after washing them. They also help keep my nipples warm, which is something I learned I needed to do because I have Reynaudâs syndrome in them.

Perfect for those who suffer from vasospasms during cold weather.

Simple and does whatâs needed
I used these pads during my time breastfeeding. They prevented leakage and felt great. I had no issues with infections or anything during breastfeeding. Right size for me and I didnât fix them to bra so sometimes would slide a little but generally stayed in place.

Great absorbency
These breast pads are definitely the most absorbent I have ever come across. They are also so soft and extremely comfortable to wear in your bra. One issue I came across was having some fibers left on my nipples when I went to feed. Also I accidentally put my first pair in the dryer and ruined them (but that was my fault for not checking my dirty laundry well enough).

These are the best
I love these breast pads. They are easy to use and clean. They donât irritate the breasts and are very soft. Easy to clean, just be sure to purchase a wool washing soap!

I really wanted to love these, but if they don’t work overnight then it’s a bust!
I really wanted to love these, but if they don’t work overnight then it’s a bust. I ordered small & medium ekstra, I’m a 34DD-E. I chose to open the small to try first before committing since I didn’t think the mediums would have fit in my bra. They’re super soft, warm, & comfy right out of the package. I want to even go as far as saying I had a boost in supply because all of a sudden after a day of use I felt more engorged – maybe bc they were so warm or maybe just a coincidence. They worked well during the daytime, my bra didn’t get wet. BUT I didn’t like the ton of wool fibers/fuzz they left all over my nipples and in my bras. There’s nothing worse than having a baby scream at you for making them wait to eat while picking lint off of your nipples so it doesn’t end up in your baby’s mouth! For overnight use, I wear a nursing tank with a built in shelf bra. I could’ve used the mediums here but I didn’t want to open the second pair just yet and I’m glad I didn’t because I will be returning them. While laying on my back or side, with the nursing pad def covering my nipple, Gravity caused me to leak all over my shirt. I could literally feel the drops falling between my boobs and subsequently soaking my shirt. Just from what I know using wool diaper covers, wool isn’t meant to be the absorbent layer and it won’t absorb quickly. So I’ve already ordered different bamboo pads that I’m hoping will work as these will be the fourth type of nursing pads I’ve purchased and I really don’t think I have excessive leaking. So disappointed they didn’t work at night, but I’ll prob keep trying to use them during the day just because they were so pricy!

AMAZING! give these a try!!
So I am a heavy leaker overnight and during letdown, with minimal to moderate daytime leaking, and I am a 36DD while breastfeeding. So I decided to try the Medium Ekstra first, for overnight. The Ekstra pads work really well for any day or night time leaking, and are *almost* enough for my letdown leaking, so I just tuck a disposable pad or washcloth on the opposite side when baby is nursing if I’m not at home, and if I’m at home, I just use Philips AVENT Comfort Breast Shell Set to save the milk that is otherwise lost from letdown on the breast baby isn’t currently nursing from.SIZING: I had a difficult time determining sizing for myself. I’m currently a 36DD while nursing, so I started with a Medium Ekstra, and it is ideal for overnight. It covers the majority of my breast, and still fits into bras and shelf bras well enough. I then got a Medium Original and a Small Ekstra to try, for daytime use, and while the Medium Original was insufficient for leaking or letdown, it was also odd to me that it seemed more difficult to fit in my bras, even though it is the same diameter and actually much thinner…I’m really not sure why that is. The Small Ekstra is perfect for daytime leaking, and the sizing seems pretty nice: it doesn’t cover my whole breast, but it covers the full front, and stays put very nicely in bras. If I were doing it all over again, I would keep the ones I got: Small Ekstra for daytime, Medium Ekstra for nighttime. I use the Medium Original just as a temporary use for if I’m washing one of the sets.Oh, and I don’t know why people complain about maintaining these! It’s so easy to wash these using the LANAcare Lanolin Wool Soap, and it’s amazing to not have to wash them all the time like the cotton pads, and my nipples feel so much better using these rather than cotton or disposable pads!

I had a particularly bad start to my breastfeeding journey and while my nipples were healing from cracks/trauma I developed vasospasm. My nipples were very sensitive/hurt all the time and the bamboo pads that came with my nursing bras were not cutting it for comfort.I panic ordered and tested a lot of relief items. I found these pads helpful for when I was out and about but not so much sleeping or between nursing. I found when at home a mini hot water bottle provided better relief between feedings. These pads did provide some relief! But looking back I don’t think it was a game changer or anything.Look up cleaning instructions before you buy as well.

These are soft and good for warmth but they fail on basic functionality – they leak! I also use cotton, bamboo, and disposable nursing pads with no leaking at all but these soak straight through and on to clothes. I would not buy again and feel Iâve wasted my money – they were expensive too! Seller was not helpful when I contacted them regarding the productâs performance. Although they help with Vasospasm / Reynaudâs and sore nipples I will have to seek an alternative or double up with another kind of pad which will be rather bulky. What a shame!

Love them! They’re soft and not at all scratchy, keep my boobs warm so my nipples aren’t tensely contracted when I go to feed in a cold place (which would make it harder for baby to latch and inhibit letdown), keep nipples dry to prevent thrush-friendly conditions, and stop leaks getting through to my clothes. However, I’m knocking off a star because I can’t use them alone. I tend to leak a lot from the opposite side while feeding. These wool pads just don’t absorb the milk quickly enough, so it runs down the inside and soaks the bottom of my bra instead. Washing the pads made no difference to absorbency. I now line them with a cotton or bamboo pad during a feed, and wear them alone the rest of the time as they are absorbent enough to contain occasional leaks between feeds.

Lana morbidissima e piacevole. Sono molto comode perché più grandi delle coppette che si trovano di solito, però non assorbono molto.se si hanno perdite di latte abbondanti i vestiti si bagnano.

These are incredibly soft but do not absorb well at all. The milk just seems to run down between my boob and the pad and soak my shirt underneath. They donât feel cold when wet which is a huge bonus, but Iâm sad they donât soak up the milk very well. I would buy them again since they were soft enough on my extremely sore nipples when I first started to breastfeed, but donât use them much anymore.
