Great minimal look and works great with in-floor heating and with my fire place
This stat has a nice minimal look and works great. I’m in the HVAC business and have installed all the fancy brands, and so far, I like this one more than the others. It has up to 3 heating stages and up to 3 cooling stages. It also has an auxiliary terminal that can be programmed with various functions. I installed one on my in-floor radiant heating and one on my fireplace, which both have a 24V power source. I hooked up two heating stages for the in-floor heating and one for the fireplace (I hooked up the extra wires even though they’re not hooked up to the equipment side). To keep the minimal look, I 3D printed a smaller plate to cover the box the builder had installed on the fireplace where a light switch had been. The schedule works great in the app, and the programming is simple. They both connected to the WiFi and the app the first time with little effort. One thing is I wish the app had a button on the front screen of the app to get to the usage dashboard without needing to scroll through the settings to get to it. I know most people won’t look at that feature, but I like to see my trending usage. Overall, it is a great thermostat at a great price.

After 12+ years with Nest, we are moving on.
I am an early adopter and very techie. I had the very first Nest thermostat back in 2012 and loved it. Even after Google bought it, I felt they left Nest alone and that meant it kept being a decent product. That was until that Nest finally died. I replaced it with a 4th gen and I was excited to finally get a hygrometer and Matter support. Boy was I wrong. It did NOT properly control my Humidifier, it constantly reported low power and I had to plug it into USB (and thus, disconnected from the HVAC system) to charge the battery even with a proper C wire that was providing 24v. I went around in circles with Google support and the ticket said they’d replace it, but after a month and radio silence to 3 different contact attempts we are moving on.Enter the Meross. I chose it because I have been a HA user for years and Matter support was a big selling point. Further, the promise of a more reliable yet customizable device PLUS being a very reasonable price AND good looking make it an easy choice. After one day all those promises have been kept. I did have to undo some of my customization (a two-to-one wire relay for the humidifier) but the Meross picked right up and ran everything properly.Setup DOES require a bit of tech savvy, I went through the official Meross app first, then integrated into HA. I spent a lot of time testing the Humidifier functionality and LOVE the 1% steps on the hydrostat and the 30 minute steps on the manual Fan controls. HA integration was super simple using the Meross Integration OTC. Most of my HA automations/scheduling/etc moved over from the Nest to the the new one.The only negative I can see is that there is no battery in this thermostat and relies on the C wire (or conversion kit) but thinking big picture, if the HVAC system doesn’t have power I can’t control it with the Nest anyhow, and conversely the display turning off is a diagnostic tool that is easier for my Family to use.The build quality and physical install was simple and direct. And best of all, I no long am giving Google that little bit of extra data.

Another Quality Product from Meross
This is one of several Meross smart home products I have, and I am always happy with the quality and ease of use. Installation was easy and took 20 minutes. They even provided sticker labels for the wires. Connecting it to the app and Apple HomeKit was just as simple. The user interface within the Meross app is excellent! Over time, the smart thermostat will save me money by allowing me to run automation, such as when I leave my home, automatically adjust the thermostat, and then set it back upon my return. Overall, I am happy with the Thermostat and would recommend it.
