Why did they change it?
I’ve had this camera for almost a year and I have a second of the exact same one for a few months longer. I’ve only had to connect to the app once. It works every time I turn it on no matter where (as long as I have a data signal). I like that I can move it from anywhere to see my house. Makes a good nanny can and you can talk into it if you want to mess with your kids or baby sitter. Thy he night vision works good but sometimes in the afternoon it’s kinda dark but not dark enough so I need to open the app to turn on the infrared lights manually then I flip it back to auto and it stays on. I haven’t had connection issues like the one star people and I have the crib camera two rooms away.(through 2 walls and across the living room. About 35′) Maybe I got lucky. 2 for 2. But I doubt it. Maybe all the people who had positive experiances haven’t written reviews. I love my mbp855connects Update. I just bought one of these systems for a friends baby shower. The box looked a little different but has the same model number as my camera’s so I took a look inside. First thing I noticed is it didn’t come with the flexable tripod thing. I used mine to attach one of the cameras to the crib. The other thing is the parent unit has an antenna(and a regular DC power jack instead of mini usb like my camera’s) . Mine doesn’t have an antenna and it works perfectly through two walls about 35′ away. Why the external antenna? With such bad reviews about signal loss I’m wondering what they changed and is this camera going to work for my friend. The camera looks the same so I’m guessing they didn’t change that just the parent unit. I guess I’ll see what happens then maybe I’ll have to change the stars. I’m at 5 as of now.

UPDATED. Avoid. Pairing is painful and our monitor broke
UPDATE: I was contacted via email by a Customer Service rep asking if they could replace or refund my order, and then update my review accordingly. After a few email exchanges, I agreed to a full refund and never heard back. So, I am UPDATING MY REVIEW. It’s now 1 star, because not only is the product poor, they’re trying to inflate the product ratings by buying off poor reviews. The camera quality is decent and the night vision is actually very good, but our monitor broke a week after Amazon’s six month return window. The charging cord no longer plugs into the monitor. We weren’t overly rough but did move the monitor around the house from time to time. I took it to a local repair shop and they couldn’t find the parts to fix it, which is surprising given Motorola’s brand name. We still use the camera with the Hubble app, so it’s not a total loss but I in now way would recommend this product. Pairing with the camera is a total pain as well.

Excellent monitor
This monitor has been outstanding. Weâve had 3 different monitors for our kids and this has been the favorite for a number of reasons. Itâs easy to set up, good picture, and we LOVE the ability to view remotely on the app. Itâs been completely reliable since we bought it in 2018. This is the first review Iâve ever written on amazon but I felt compelled because itâs been so great and has marginal reviews. Iâd 10/10 recommend.

… am giving this monitor 4 stars because it is better than the Infant Optics that is so highly rated …
I am giving this monitor 4 stars because it is better than the Infant Optics that is so highly rated for no reason but it still has it’s flaws. We purchased an additional camera and it does offer two options for viewing both cameras. You can view them both in a split screen or it will cycle through the cameras every 8 seconds or so. For reasons I don’t understand, you cant view both cameras split screen and have the audio cycle, you have to pick one. Luckily the 2nd camera is on our 3 year old so we do need to hear her but it is a feature that is definitely lacking. The picture quality is very good but the nightvision has a shorter range than our previous Summer Infant so you have to place the camera closer to the baby that normal. The biggest flaw in this monitor is that the cameras do not have the ability to mount directly on the wall. The only mounting bracket on the back of the camera is for the Motorola star mount. How they left this feature out is beyond me.In summary, I believe the features of this monitor make this one of the best options out there. It still has some glaring flaws and I don’t understand why there aren’t any good monitors on the market, but given what is available today, I think this is the best thing currently available.

It works great!
It definitely was a pain to figure out how to connect it to my phone but that was purely user error and pregnancy brain lol. I bought this early because I wanted to test it out I have been using it to watch my dog lol. Itâs been amazing it definitely lags with the phone rather then monitor itself but I am miles away from my home and it still works amazing! I was discouraged from getting this because of all the bad reviews but several of my friends have the model before this and LOVE it!

Video freezes
I have been using this for 2 weeks now. Initially my issue with this monitor was the sound. The speaker on the camera is at the base which means it does not pick up sound very well. I can hear my son through the walls better than through the monitor. Last night I kept looking at the video and it looked as thought my son was sleeping peacefully, but then I started hearing fusses and then cries from the nursery and realized the video had froze. As nice as the large screen is and how much I initially liked this monitor, now I feel like I canât trust it and Iâm better off listening for my son with my own ears, since the sound and video on this monitor are not reliable.

Should have listened to the reviews and not purchased. parent unit cannot even pair with camera. tried adding it as a new unit but when it seems like it is paired no picture shows, just a green fuzzy screen. after a while it shows not paired again. much dissappointment and frustration. returned the item, hope refund is processed quickly.

I bought this monitor maybe 1 month ago. I had a VTech before and it wasn’t worth anything. I HATED IT!!!! and i bought this one because i needed a new one for my daughter because she’s been having a bit of health issues and also we have our second daughter on the way and i really wanted a good monitor! THIS MONITOR is day and night compared to all the others i’ve seen! definitely recommend this one! I recommended it so much that my sister-in-law bought it for her twins, and 2 of my cousins changed their monitors to this one! a DEFINITE must !! (this picture was taken on the night vision, great quality, if you zoom in you even see your child breathing in and out!)

A câmera fica pouco tempo sem estar conectada na tomada. A tela dura mais. Visão maravilhosa, tanto no claro quanto no escuro. Ela também tem ótimo movimento pros lados, pra cima e pra baixo. As vezes o som não sai, mas a gnt desliga e liga novamente que volta a funcionar.

We had the older version of this exact same model and loved it. However, 5 months ago our parent unit broke so we started a warranty claim. It has been absolute hell and 5 months later we still have not received the cheque they apparently sent 3 times. In the meantime we purchased this unit for the purpose of pairing it with our other camera with the EXACT same model number. When we get the units we are told they actually don’t pair. Decided that was unfortunate and kept the camera and have now had problems with the app. I am so tired of all these issues, not to mention that this unit has literally DOUBLED in price since I bought my other camera 2 years ago. One would think this means it is much better, but in reality it sucks and I would much prefer to have my old camera back. I used to recommend motorola to everyone, now I definitely do not! Find another camera if you are looking for quality!
