    Good guide for beginners
3 small books in 1, this book talks of the most popular herbs, mushrooms and plants that have medicinal benefits, it tells you which country you can find them and why they are so beneficial. There is some history about each. Herbalism has been something I have wanted to know about for some time. A number of these I was aware of, I particularly like the mushroom section as I was prescribed a mushroom type medicine a number of years ago with the claims that it literally is the cure/prevention for everything including cancer. A good guide for beginners looking to learn more.

    Informative, but…
I wish this book was formatted better. It really could benefit from a table of contents that quickly jumps to or lists all of the featured herbs. Also, in my opinion, clipart of herbs isn’t very attractive. Having studied herbology and ayuverda, I can say that the information is accurate. Nothing remarkably fresh.

    SO informative
Well written. Color photos along with descriptions are great! I like the explanations of where the herbs/mushrooms can be found in nature. I would definitely get the paperback so I could carry it with me while I’m out exploring. Very glad I found this book and would recommend to all!

Perfect for natural remedy quick reference
Since I have started self-educating on supplements and herbs it’s been hard to keep track and recall which herbs, plants and spices are good for what ailment so this book is great to keep handy for a quick refresher. One main supplement that has become a household staple for us is oil of oregano, very powerful as a natural antibiotic. There are so many listed in here that I had not known about. It’s amazing how a lot of what we need as humans is found in the plants and trees God gave us. Like Hippocrates said, Let food be thy medicine.

    Disappointing
Definitely basic information. The book title maybe be legally accurate but it seems to promise something that isn’t there.

    Good guide into alternative medicine
It’s really important for a person with a condition or aliment to understand that there are many routes to a solution and cure, and it’s their job and duty to find such solutions. I strongly believe that herbal medicine has a lot of potential and this book provides an indepth look into various aliments it can heal and treat. Highly recommend to anyone struggling with a condition that modern medicine hasn’t been able to treat or treat effectievely.

    Great resource
I know next to nothing about herbal medicine, so if you are like me this book is a really great place to start. It gives a lot of facts without a lof of fluff and jargon. As I grow in my knowledge I imagine I will need something more comprehensive but for a beginner this is perfect.
