A must have! 100%
I donât remember who/how I found out about this author and her book, but it truly is a must have. Iâve been practicing herbalism for years and if you are looking for BETTER natural alternatives than over the counter /prescription for ailments this truly is your book. FIRST, the title is on point. A common sense guide to herbal remedies! This book touches on the natural order of our bodies. The natural healing process as GOD created us. For example: a fever – is the natural process for our bodies to take when fighting off a virus. Yes it must be monitored however, is should not be stopped or interfered with, not only is the body ridding its self of impurities but itâs building a stronger immunity system. Look at the bees they do the EXACT same thing when their hives come under attack. They increase the temp to kill off bacteria. If a bee can do it why not us and our children. Iâm very passionate about this lol.Google: the dangers of antibiotics youâll understand why.Buy this book you wonât regret it.

Amazing
My little one is 8 months old and I have not had to use any Tylenol or over-the-counter medication. This book is truly amazing. I accompanied it with her healthy child university course and it has been amazing and so empowering.

Excellent Resource
A friend with 3 kids recommended this book to me while I was pregnant. I have read and reread this book through the end of my pregnancy and now that my daughter is 5 months old. I have leant it to several friends. The remedies are clearly described and well organized. Also, I found the descriptions of different illnesses super helpful. I have used this for ideas on how to treat myself as well. Aviva Romm shares a wealth of knowledge on herbs in a simple and generous way here. I would recommend this to anyone interested in healing a range of conditions with the help of herbs.

Probably the most highly recommended book in my extensive library. Buy it.
This is a gift for a friend, and will be sent to Italy, with many of the basic ingredients for the most common remedies in the book. Our copy of this book is dog eared and so SO well loved. This isn’t just a book of remedies to use on babies and kids. It is useful for the entire family. I have gifted this book to more friends and family members, and recommended it to every midwifery client, childbirth education client, doula client, apprentice… well, basically anybody with whom I come in contact. Aviva Romm is a midwife, a Master Herbalist, and now also a DO. She is brilliant, and anything in this book is safe to use on your family. Of course, always remember that sometimes there is ABSOLUTELY call for western medicine and intervention with prescriptions medicines or surgical attention. However most of the time, if we eat well, and address things early enough, we can avoid western medicine. Our doctors know that if we are in their office, we have tried ALL of the natural remedies, and it is time for intervention. And that is a rare visit. This book is highly recommended. Probably the most highly recommended book in my extensive library. Buy it.

I purchased this book for a friend and had a chance to browse through it before passing it along. I am totally all for natural healing and this book seems to have ample amounts of information when it comes to a natural alternative to medicine. From teething to coughing and all of those little things that make you wonder if there is something other than Tylenol to give the little ones, this book has suggestions.

My ‘Healthy Baby Bible’
I love this book! When I was pregnant I bought it, knowing I wanted to raise my daughter the ‘natural’ way. I reference this book OFTEN. It is the first place I go to whenever wanting to find out information about an illness or symptom. I have tried many of its remedies successfully, including those for acid reflux, chronic constipation, colds, indigestion, bruises, teething, colic and some more, both on the baby and myself. This book is truly a gem.You can learn all about herbal remedies, how to make them yourself, and how they work. The author describes different herbs, their properties and uses.Whether you are a new mom, or an experienced one, this book has valuable and practical information to aid you in keeping your little ones and whole family naturally healthy. I consider this book a ‘must-have.’

Straight-forward, no-nonsense, sort of book. Good reference book for medical herbalists. It covers the basics, which for children’s health, can be wholly different to other groups of the population. For parents, the author has written this book in such a way as to give confidence in being able to care, naturally, for the sick child (within the confines of what is covered in this book, i.e. the general childhood complaints).

Her natural pregnancy book was literally my Bible while I was pregnant and the only one of about 18 books I bought as a new mother that I felt worthy to keep on my shelf I now use this one as a resource for my son who is 6 this book is amazing the seller got it to me before the times that said it would arrive and I just love it!
