Exceptional product at add-on price but value is not there at reg price
Tried this as an ADD-ON item – works exceptionally well for Indian Ringnecks and Cockatiels – would purchase more if price was more reasonable as non ADDOn Price for volume is not in line with my needs – I just paid under $40 delivered for 10 lbs of a comparable product

Strange gooey formula. Go with other brands.
Smells strange and turns gelatinous gooey grey when mixed with water. I did not want to interact with it after mixing and feeding it to my birds once, and wondered if the birds liked it. Their droppings were yellow afterwards, probably from one of the vitamins in the formula.I warm up mixed formulas from time to time when I am feeding multiple birds, as the temperature drops below the recommended 102F-106F range. Kaytee Exact and NutriBird A21 clump a little, but become smooth again once I stir the mixture. This Nekton Baby Formula stayed clumped after re-heating despite rigorous stirring. My feeding tubes clogged, and I had to use wider tubes. I quickly dumped the rest of the container.

    Always check date of expiration
I like Nekton products I’ve used them for a long time to feed my baby parrots. The thing I worried about the most is it was outdated by 6 mths.

The baby bird died within hours of feeding it with this.
We have rescued a baby bird that must have been at least 3 days old. It was surviving when we were feeding it canned cat food with a dropper. In 4 days after we rescued the baby bird, It was eating every 30 minutes, we were all too happy to care for it and feed it. It was thriving and was growing feathers. We even named it Myrtle because we found “her” near the Myrtle tree.UNTIL, I had a hair up my ass to research on how to care for baby birds. I read somewhere that you must feed it a special formula with a special feeding tool. I searched through Amazon and found this product. When it got here, we followed all the instructions on how to mix and the consistency and all that. The baby bird ate this once at 8:00 PM the night before….then after a few minutes it refused to eat. Refused to eat even the cat food. Then by 4:30 in the morning we found her not moving, not tweeting, and not breathing. We tried to revived it by gently massaging its chest. The baby bird died within hours after feeding with this formula.I am so heartbroken, my mother-in-law was also heartbroken. This formula should be taken off Amazon. Do not buy this thing. It kills.

    High quality product
After extensive research in the market, it contains the lowest percentage of iron which is vital for the well being of softbilled baby birds hand feeding procedure

Meine Unzertrennlichen sind gut aufgewachsen und Fressen nun schon seit einigen Tagen selbst. Bald ziehen sie dann in die Außenvoliere zu ihren Artgenossen.

I decided to try this baby-bird formula when the one I usually use was hard to get. I must say I like it. The consistency is much closer to what the young bird would receive from its parents – kind of gooey. The babies love it. I find their stools may be a bit more abundant and moist, but that’s likely a good thing, as crop stasis is a serious issue. I also had two tragic choking incidents on the previous formula, but so far the birds seem to handle this better – maybe because of the consistency. So far, I’m happy with it – and so are the baby birds.

I liked that this is a low iron baby bird food that is ideal for mynahs and toucans and starlings in general
