I enjoy the occasional waffle, but have always been unimpressed with the results from home irons. It always seemed like I would end up with an under- or over-cooked waffle that was soggy regardless of doneness. I contribute that issue to the mix, and I’ve tried many, including homemade. However, I recently came across a mix, that in tandem with this waffle iron, makes the perfect waffles–repeatedly. If you prefer your waffles to have a golden (true golden, not burnt) and crispy exterior with a soft fluffy core, try the Augason Farms Pancake & Waffle Mix on a #3 setting. It’s the perfect mix for this waffle maker. This iron is quick to get to operating temperature, quick to cook, and has an audible and visual alarm when your waffle is complete. With a little practice, you can pour batter without measuring by stopping the fill at just below the top grid row that is somewhat visible from the pour opening. This allows the batter to expand without excess and leaving you without a messy overfill situation. The non-stick plates make removal of your finished waffle a breeze, and with all my mix/batter trials, never have I had a waffle stick or difficult to remove. That being said, I haven’t tried sticky add-ins such as chocolate chips, and I can see that being a potential issue if that’s how you roll. Overall, this waffle maker cooks evenly–top to bottom, front to back–and makes preparation and cleanup a breeze. With the right mix used, it is exceptional.

I was a little skeptical about this upright design, but this thing works amazing, super easy to clean and takes up less space when stored. I love the adjustable settings and the ability to set it on special when making chocolate chip waffles or adding fruit. Ninja never disappoints.

First I’d like to say…why is it that Ninja seems to be the ONLY company that knows how to make a quality product?😂😂 Seriously, their blenders, electric kettle..and whatever else they’re making that I have purchased are like so far above and beyond in quality construction, heating, cooking and blending ability that it reminds me of “the old days” of appliances when ppl knew how to make something good and do it right (as in using quality and lasting materials). Where has the care and concern for a customer gone? No where for Ninja apparently, bc they keep making products that I use and recommend to everybody in our family and friend circle! I have also bought these items as gifts for ppl we know as well.. It took me almost a year of researching waffle makers and reading reviews before I found this Ninja one and based on other Ninja products we have in our home it was basically a no brainer for me to spend a little more money KNOWING I would most likely really love this one ..and I do. The fact that it comes with a measuring cup and using it to the desired mark on it has completely eliminated the messy over spillage out the sides making cleanup a virtual breeze..was the first thing I appreciated. Second is the temp selections and also the lights to let you know it’s preheated, cooking and done. I love that it’s green on preheat, add the batter and it goes red until it’s thoroughly cooked and then goes green again. It’s very consistent in cooking as well making a perfect waffle every time!!! Our daughter is happy that waffles have now returned to the breakfast menu of our kitchen!😂 I also think being a vertical design is a brilliant decision on the design engineersbc IT IS easier to store and takes up less space in my cabinet. So I will happily go on review record as a Highly Recommend on this one!!!

Awesome for gluten free waffles, after proper cleaning to remove chemical taste.
Once you get it cleaned this thing is awesome. It is so easy to use and clean up when finished and it stores nicely. Id suggest when done wipe it down and placea plastic bag over it to keep dust out then store on the fridge or somewhere. Its compact and stores easily but doeant lose any functionality. Each waffle mix will take one or two to figure out which setting to use to get the best results. I typically use any Gluten free box recipe out of the store then just water it down to proper consistency. cookies, muffins.. and even the occasional pancake mix. Some of the thicker moister mixes may need a manual timer to be set after it says its done to keep cooking it through, or microwave to finish cooking the insides. For basic pancake mixes it is great, for moist cake and muffin mixes add 5-10 mins to finish cooking it out or just throw in microwave.Main con is it took a while to completely get the chemical taste out. id suggest scrub it out (cold) with a toothbrush and dish soap twice with 20 min max temp bakes before both sessions. spray some cooking grease in there to soak up some of the chemical for the bake sessions. or be ready to use a cheap mix to keep throwing away waffles till the taste is gone. I think even with scrubbing and baking outlined above we had to waste two entire mixes before the taste was such that only one of us could detect it.

Perfect waffle maker, great build, great quality, it heats up very quickly, waffles don’t stick, it comes with a convenient little container to pour the batter in. The built in settings make is very user friendly and easy. A must have for easy, delicious breakfasts.

I love it. As the description says, this is a good waffle machine and the waffle results are thick like in a restaurant and can be adjusted to the level of waffle maturity.
