I read the reviews before purchasing and everyone is correct about the thermometer not working, but I have noticed that if you follow the cooking temps and times that are recommended everything cooks very well.So far I have air fried pork chops, I have air fried homemade potato wedges and I grilled a few pieces of chicken. Everything came out really good. I was especially impressed by how well it cooked the meats. The pork just melted in your mouth and the chicken was juicy and delicious. The potato wedges were crispy and cooked perfectly with the recommended time and temp.I have seen a lot of reviews saying it’s not a smokeless cooking experience but if you read the instructions it clearly states you should not use cooking oils such as olive oil or vegetable oil for a smokeless cooking experience. I tested it out by coating the pork and the chicken, very lightly (tossing them in a bowl) with olive oil and I had a smokeless cooking experience. So I assume people are just using too much oil if they are getting a lot of smoke.The machine it’s self is slightly smaller than my small microwave, so it was a little bigger then I expected.I would say it’s easy to use when the instructions are read properly.I’ve always had trouble cooking meats on the stove top, they never come out perfectly. I would recommend this for air frying and grilling especially if you’re someone who is not particularly good at cooking meat.Update: I have been using the machine for a few months now and I had noticed anything, like meat that is very greasy will make the grill smoke heavily.I recommend cleaning the top circular smoke screen after every use for a smokeless experience. It is hard enough to clean after one use but I have noticed that they sell extra smoke screens on here so they can easily be replaced if not cleaned. I have also seen inserts for the bottom pan that I’m seriously considering purchasing because if you don’t have a dishwasher cleaning this machine after use is a bit of a chore.I also recommend using the grill brush that was included. Trying to use a regular sponge on the grill makes it nearly impossible to clean properly. The grill brush makes it so much easier.

Wish I would have bought sooner!
I saw this Ninja XL 6-in-1 on Prime day for a great price so I decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did! I’ve had it for several days and have used it in some capacity every single day now. It’s easy to use, preheats fairly quickly, tells me when to “add food”, and the settings are easy to use on the front screen. I’m still figuring out how to convert the temp/time on food packages to what the Ninja settings should be, but I’ve learned that the temp setting should be lower and the time to cook is shorter than package instructions. For example, tube biscuits that per package instructions take 13-17 minutes in a regular preheated oven only took 8 minutes in the Ninja. Cleanup is a breeze and so far, nothing has stuck to the baking pan. The odd thing is that there is NO temp setting between 375 and 390 so that leaves somewhat of a trial & error mission when deciding which temp to set. It’s a little bigger than I had thought so I had to rearrange a few things on my counter, but I know I’ll use it regularly so it will stay out. I plan on buying some accessories to go with this because I think it’s so versatile there’s probably not much that wouldn’t work in here on either roast, bake, broil or air crisp. I’m only cooking for myself, but the surface area and air fry basket are large enough that it would accommodate a larger family for fries, burgers, chops, etc. I love this and I’m so glad I purchased it. I definitely wouldn’t have paid the regular price but if you can find a deal on it, I wouldn’t hesitate because I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. It’s a great little grill/fryer/baker.

Iâve had this a month and am using it more than my awesome Kitchenaid toaster oven with French doors. Somethingâs gotta go from the kitchen counter!Seriously, Iâm really enjoying the simplicity of this device. Iâve made a couple of the recipes provided and a few of my own and am very happy.I quartered up a 17# turkey and roasted a hassleback style breast and with the other a stuffed rolled breast, both of which turned out perfectly. The wings and legs where grilled to perfection.Steaks, spot on. Pork chops mouth watering and chicken breasts awesome. While everything I cooked could have been done on the stove top, the oven or my grill, the option to not fire up the oven when Iâm usually only cooking for me is nice.much easier to clean the included pan/grill/air fryer pan than any of my cast iron or stainless steel.Looking forward to trying out more recipes.This is a rather large appliance and the lid when opened will hit the bottom of my standard height cabinets so it needs to be set towards the front of the counter.A negative to me is that mine (purchased 11/2020) came with a full size air fryer that sits in the roasting pan. I think Iâd have preferred the half size one Iâve seen in some YouTube videos. I looked for it as an accessory but none was found. Other negative is what I consider a design flaw, that the roasting pan, grill and air fryer do not nestle for easy storage. Space is an issue for me and many Iâm sure.Other negative (more on Amazon) is that the price dropped $50 within a month of purchase and Amazon does not do a price guarantee. Customer service did advise me to return and reorder but damn, what a pain in the butt not to mention they could not resell a return for full price, what a waste of resources!Amazon, you need to rethink the price guarantee option in lieu of return and rebuy, thatâs just stupid!Otherwise, this is a great appliance.

Absolutely love this machine!! Havenât used the dehydrator function but the air fryer is awesome and has a fairly large basket. I previously had an xl ninja foodie and was worried this basket would not be big enough, but it is (for a family of 4). I love the grill!!! I will say that, if you cook your meat according to the included cooking guide, it will likely be over cooked. It definitely took me a little practice to learn how to cook my steak the way I like it (medium well). I donât ever cook my steaks on âhighâ heat as they suggest, but always on medium heat to âwell doneâ and they come out perfectly with some pink inside. For someone like me who has never barbecued anything in my life, this machine has been so worthwhile!!! I highly recommend!
