Review of NOW Sports Nutrition Egg White Protein
As someone who recently embarked on a keto diet journey, I’ve been exploring various options to support my new lifestyle. One product that has become a staple in my keto kitchen is the NOW Sports Nutrition Egg White Protein.
Upon receiving this product, I was impressed by the generous size of the container, which offers excellent value for the price. While it may seem like a sizable investment upfront, the amount of protein powder received ensures that I’ll have plenty to fuel my keto bread baking and other culinary adventures.
Speaking of keto bread, I recently tried my hand at making some, and I must say, it turned out surprisingly well! Incorporating the NOW Sports Nutrition Egg White Protein into the recipe added a boost of protein while helping to maintain the bread’s texture and structure.
What I appreciate most about this protein powder is its versatility. Not only does it work well in keto bread recipes, but it’s also perfect for creating protein shakes, smoothies, and even adding a protein boost to baked goods or savory dishes.
Overall, I’m thoroughly satisfied with my purchase of NOW Sports Nutrition Egg White Protein. It’s proven to be a valuable addition to my keto pantry, offering both quality and value in one convenient package. If you’re on a keto journey like me and looking for a reliable protein source to support your lifestyle, I highly recommend giving this product a try.

Highly Palatable Unflavored Protein Powder with No Side Effects
Thank you NOW! For years, I have been trying to find a suitable protein powder. For various reasons, I have been fairly picky over the years, and had given up on supplementing my diet with protein powders. I have adverse reactions to whey protein powders, which give me body aches and a general feeling of uneasiness. I don’t have the same reaction with protein bars, etc. but the issue persisted with different whey protein powders. I also avoid sugar and most sugar substitutes. Years passed and different protein powders have collected in my kitchen: pea protein, rice protein, etc. These other types were extremely unpalatable and grainy.
I am pregnant now, and in recent weeks, have become concerned about my low protein consumption. At the same time, the doctor suggested reducing my carb intake. I began to really dislike handling meat, especially when it is raw. And I didn’t like the idea of consuming so much meat fat and meat generally. And then I read that about protein powders accumulating toxins during their industrial processing, which can be particularly harmful to fetuses. Fortunately, I read a blog that suggested that this product might be cleaner than the other protein powders, so I ordered it. I was worried that I would have yet another supplement collecting dust, and just wanted to sample the product. But NOW had a 38% of special the day that I ordered the 1.2 lb container! Some of the other reviews suggested that the powder did not blend well in smoothies, and had a bad taste. To the contrary, I was super excited when my smoothie blended perfectly with a regular stick blender. And the egg taste was mild, if not imperceptible.
For now, I am blending a scoop or so of the powder with frozen berries, cucumber (skinless if using an English cucumber), blend of whatever nuts I feel up to that day (peanut butter, almond butter, cashew, sunflower seeds), yogurt (if I feel up to it), cocoa powder, … Now that I can start having smoothies, I might start adding some super food ingredients like hemp/chia seeds, etc., greens powders (post-pregnancy), stevia/monk fruit. For now, I am enjoying my simple sugar free but protein packed smoothies. Super happy and super relieved that I can include more protein in my diet and have delicious smoothies on a regular basis. Fingers crossed that this powder is as clean as my hope and expectations! Going to super size to the 5 lb containers. Thank you NOW!

Smooth with Very Little to No Flavor
Smooth with very little to no flavor. I’ve been using this protein powder for years and now Amazon finally has it… yaeh 🙂 I absolutely hate the protein powders that leave a gritty texture to my morning smoothie. Previously I used a soy powder that wasn’t gritty but didn’t like using soy since I try to avoid it when reasonable.
I generally stock around 20 of these because a couple of times it was hard to find in stock to order (that was before I found it on Amazon so time will tell if that continues). Over all we have consumed over 300 of these (estimating low). We had a few that did have a bit of a bad egg smell but the product it self was fine. I believe it had to do with the humidity level but I’m not sure. Also we have never had it smell after blending. At any rate we haven’t had any like that for over a year. Of course it’s possible that we have just been lucky with recent orders. I don’t think it is a batching issue because that few that did smell were mixed in with some that didn’t from the same batch. We use a lot because we use a bit more than a severing and in our house we make at least two a day 360+ days a year (it’s rare my daughter and I don’t have one for breakfast).
What do I mix in my 32 oz smoothie? This is a general guide that I use and sometimes change it up.
    4 oz apple sider
    8 oz homemade goat yogurt
    scoop of eggwhite protein
    1 stock celery
1/4 tsp greens powder (depending on type of greens)
    1 banana
    bit of honey
    bit of olive oil
top off the 32 oz with whatever frozen berries I feel like that day
So I have to add that even my wife who is insanely picky about texture has used it and likes it.
    Hope this helps someone

Great source of complete protein if your GI tract can handle it
I was fine with the taste of this using it in smoothies with berries and soy milk. And the texture was fine too. It is a bit salty but if you are using more milk and berries then it’s not as strong. However, one serving a day was too much for my GI system. I can eat a decent quantity of liquid egg whites and other things with egg whites in them but this was just too intense for my GI system and my guts had me up in the middle of the night which is something that is rare for me.
If it doesn’t bother your digestion, it’s a great source of protein and easy to supplement in to reach your protein needs.
