I recently tried the Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Plant Based Protein Powder, and I’m pleased with the results. While it may not be my absolute favorite, it’s pretty close, and here’s why.The flavor profile is surprisingly delicious for a plant-based protein powder. It’s not overly sweet, and the texture is smooth, making it enjoyable to mix into shakes or smoothies. I appreciate that it’s gluten-free and vegan, catering to dietary preferences without compromising on taste.What sets this protein powder apart is its quality. The blend is well-crafted, and the protein content is commendable. It’s an excellent option for those looking to incorporate plant-based protein into their diet without sacrificing taste or nutritional value.While taste preferences can be subjective, I find the Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Plant Based Protein Powder to be a solid choice. It has earned a regular spot in my protein routine, and I would recommend it to others seeking a tasty and high-quality vegan protein option.

Better than almost every other competitor in taste
It tastes like hot cocoa. Chalky hot cocoa.But hey, it’s much better than every other competitor that makes protein powder.I’ve tried so many that make me want to throw up after 3 sips.I have really sensitive taste buds, and when something tastes bad, I really feel it. Like with Vega protein powders (HOW do these products get approved??).I bought this one because it uses a known safe sugar substitute, and not ones known to be genotoxic in long-term studies like with sucralose.Highly recommend to mix this with half a cup of water half a cup of milk and then shaking it with a shaker cup and shaker ball. It’s the only way I’ve found that makes it easy to taste and swallow.

Will never buy again
Have typically had a good track record with this brand. This will be the last order. The paltry amount, less than half a container of protein powder was delivered. For this price that is unacceptable. What a rip off. Also note, there is a significant drop off in taste with the plant protein. Disappointed and will now be shopping for a different protein powder brand. Luckily there are tons of options nowadays.

I won’t be buying any other plant based protein.
Its a hit in our household– my husband and son are lactose intolerant so we only use vegan protein and have tried a multitude plant-based proteins. The taste, the quality of ingredients and price point can’t be beat. I use this for smoothies and protein pancakes/desserts/bakery items. I have reordered this protein many times and every time I deviate and try another powder, I regret it.The only downside is the protein only fills up half the bucket. It feels like a waste of plastic to make the bucket so big.

The product I received was manufactured in Sep 2023. It would be great if I received one manufactured this year (2024).
