Classy, well chilled, great form and function for beauty products
I was not impressed with the usual beverage cooling units as it seems either to be a square peg/round hole situation in using them to chill beauty products or overpaying for a modified version that catered more to beauty products. Enter this Vanity Fridge – classy AND functional. Let’s dive in.Form – This unit is beautiful and classy. It looks amazing on a dresser or counter top. If you have a smaller size bathroom, note that this will not fit near a sink. You really need dedicated countertop space for this item. That said, it looks amazing on a dresser. The shiny accents are truly beautiful as well, and the usable space vs outer footprint doesn’t feel like you’re losing out with the extra design elements on the outside. It’s a more than acceptable tradeoff when compared to “beautified” beverage fridges out there, and having the door on top means much more functionality and deep space in fitting beauty products while being able to access ALL of them. Trust me – I definitely considered getting the cheaper beverage fridge and placing it on its back as an alternative.Power – the plug is situated on one end. This means that you can back this unit right up against a wall, and you won’t have to account for the plug sticking out. That said, if you place it flush against the wall, you won’t be able to open the lid to fully standing (give it about a cm to do so).Heat – like any cooling unit, this produces heat, though it’s like a slightly warm breeze and not concerning whatsoever. It comes out of the same direction as the power cord, so if you have the back sitting flush against the wall, you don’t have to worry about the heat getting blocked.Cooling – this chills so well, it occasionally creates condensation pools inside, and the outside feels cooler to the touch. The cooling comes from the powered end of the unit only, but I have found that it keeps all items sitting inside the unit well chilled. The only exception is the items that I place in the shelving compartment on the top door. They are mildly cool, not chilled. The rest is so cold that I simply place a bit of cloth on the bottom closest to the cooling unit to keep items inside from getting wet from condensation. The farthest end does not have cloth, and the items touching the bottom are very chilled and dry.Noise – this unit makes almost no noise whatsoever! I have it in the quietest room in the house, and I still can’t hear anything from it if I’m not standing RIGHT next to it.Compartmentalization – there is a clear piece that you can insert vertically to divide up the compartment. I wish it was a little more customizable in being able to place it anywhere along the space, but it IS useful. I lean skinny products up against it. As mentioned before, it’s nice to have the shelving on the door, but don’t expect those products to get very cold as everything else inside.If you’re looking for something sleek and beautiful and extremely functional for chilling your beauty products in a careful and thoughtful way, make room on your dresser top for this chilling beauty unit. I highly recommend this to any hands down over any other vertical unit on the market!!

This tub style is way better than the typical fridge style
I once had a Frigidaire 6-can mini fridge to store all my skincare stuff. It lasted a year and a half before it went kaput. During that time, it was the bane of my existence because I had to keep shuffling bottles back and forth from inside to get what I needed and inevitably, one or more bottles would fall down in the shuffle, creating a domino effect as it took out nearby bottles as well. I vowed never to get this kind of fridge again.When I found this style of fridge, I was intrigued. A tub, where you would grab things from above, makes more sense to me. Despite this style of beauty fridge not having much of a customer review track record online (since the tub style is uncommon), I decided to try this out. I’m really glad I took a chance. Over the course of a month, I have found it to be a much more pleasant experience when grabbing bottles and tubes. As you can see in the pic, there is a divider, which is quite helpful, and plenty of space for lots of stuff (it is technically 1.5 times larger than the typical 6-can mini fridge).The fridge runs about 20 degrees cooler than the room that it’s in (tested with a thermometer) and stays pretty consistent without the temperature cycling up and down.As is typical with mini fridges, it does produce condensation inside. I followed the advice of another reviewer and put in a bounty towel (folded in half) next to the cooling component on the left side. That has eliminated the issue of any items getting wet. You do have to periodically replace the bounty towel with a dry one – for me, it’s once a week.This fridge is way quieter than the Frigidaire mini fridge. It doesn’t have an electric buzz like the Frigidaire. This one just has a low-volume fan sound.In terms of longevity, I have had this for about 3 months. I really hope that it lasts longer than several months like other reviewers have posted. It’s possible that adequate ventilation plays a factor in this. I made sure to have nothing near the ventilation on the left side that would block the air (and sometimes heat) flowing out. Only time will tell how long this lasts, but I will be sure to update my review if this one also goes kaput.

Standing water inside the fridge since day one
While the vanity fridge does cool my skincare products effectively, I have had the product 8 months and have never been able to prevent significant standing water inside the unit. Now, it has what appears to be black mold, even though I regularly dump the water, clean the inside, and keep air flowing freely near the intake. Iâm stuck discarding this moldy thing, as Iâm not able to locate any warranty information. I should have listened to the reviews. What a disappointment.

Good Vanity Fridge
I like this vanity fridge and it looks nice on my vanity. It keeps my products cool and holds a lot. I also like that it holds my masks in the lid making for a nice mask treatment being cool and comforting. I only give it 4 stars because moisture accumulation in the bottom is present so it gets wet. I have to put in a paper towel to absorb and change it. I place this vanity fridge on a clear mat to protect my vanity in case it leaks but it hasnât. My previous fridge did leak and damaged a wood tray it was on. I havenât had a fridge yet that did not accumulate moisture inside.
