Good products PetSafe ScoopFree Premium
Maintaining a clean litter box is a top priority. This litter is wonderful, although more expensive than regular kitty litter. I started using PetSafe ScoopFree Premium Crystal Cat Litter several years ago when I had the automated PetSafe Litter Box. 6 months ago I advanced to the Whiskers Litter-Robot 4. I could not find any information on using PetSaafe crystals in the litter-robot, so I tried it. it works perfectly!
The crystal litter technology is great! Instead of dealing with clumping clay or dusty pellets, the ScoopFree litter utilizes highly absorbent crystal beads that efficiently lock in moisture and odors and the crystals are virtually dust-free, making it safer. There’s no scooping required. The automatic drum turns and dumps the waste into a covered compartment, leaving the litter box clean and odor-free for weeks at a time. This has been wonderful convience for me. I just pull out the waste drawer and throw the sack of waste away every few days. After 4 weeks, I press the empty button and dump all the old litter into the sack in the waste drawer, throw it away and put in new crystal litter. Because the drum empties the waste periodically throughout each day, the litter does get a little low and so do add some extra litter to the existing litter a couple times a month.
I highly recommend the PetSafe ScoopFree Premium Crystal Cat Litter. There is ZERO odor. This is the best crystal litter I have ever used. Decent litter
Does well with the scoop free litterbox. Low dust, no clump. With 2 cats that have very regular bathroom visits, I change it twice a month and it seems pretty good. Odor control is not as good as the crystals and it does still track some but it’s much more cost effective than the crystals!

Non-clumping, high dust, high tracking
I didn’t notice that this litter said non-clumping. It’s not great for scooping and it’s definitely not low dust. Dust went everywhere when I tried to scoop it. It is also not low-tracking. I’m finding little pieces all over my house despite my litter mats by the cat boxes. I ended up having to dump out the litter boxes altogether and refill them with something else.

Very Dusty
The PetSafe ScoopFree Premium Natural Cat Litter works well overall, especially for households looking to reduce litter box maintenance. It does a decent job of keeping odors under control, lasting up to the promised 21 days if youâre using it with an automatic litter box. I appreciate that itâs 100% natural with no chemicals or fragrances, which is a plus for a more eco-friendly option and gentler on my cat.
However, it does track a bit outside the litter box, so I end up sweeping more often than Iâd like. It also doesnât clump, so if youâre used to scooping regularly, it can take some getting used to. The 4.2 lb pack size is okay, but depending on usage, you might need to stock up a bit more frequently. It also gets really dusty which is the downside.
In summary, this is a solid choice for specific setups like the ScoopFree system and cats that donât mind non-clumping litter. However, for the price, Iâd hope for a bit less tracking.

Great Natural Option – Be Ready for Dust!
I absolutely love that this litter is made from diatomaceous earth, it’s a much more natural and healthier option than some of the other products on the market and it makes me feel good about using it for my cats. It clumps well, which makes cleaning super easy.
The only big downside is that it doesn’t cover up smells. The first time my cat used it I had to sift it immediately because the smell was strong. It was pretty dusty when I first poured it, but thankfully there were no tracks left on our hardwood floors.
While this may seem like a negative review, this litter may have actually saved me from having to rehome one of my cats. He is very sent averse and hardly uses the box, but since starting to use this litter he has used the box consistently every day. It could also be a texture issue for him, but since I can’t talk and ask I am definitely sticking with this litter from now on.

Poor design
Bought this in an effort to reduce waste to landfill and for the natural litter. Doesn’t work well and litter is dusty. Flap attachment falls off every time rake cycles. Used with Petsafe scoopfree litter box.

They cats donât seem to love this one either. The sometimes use the litter box and other times poop on the floor in front of it. If you have picky cats it may not work

Have a cat box in my bedroom for my daughter when she comes to visit. I canât even smell that a cat has been here when she comes. I donât have to change it every time. It seems to dry the poop right out so itâs easy to scoop and dispose of. Better than clumping cat litter and the awful clay smell

I liked disposable trays but the litter wasnât lasting long enough. I bought this and have started using anew brand of litter that is half tge price while lasting the full 30+ days.

Sent back the unopened ones. Dust everywhere and thereâs an odour to it before you add what my cats do to it! Donât recommend at all and have gone back to the crystals (ordered this one by accident as thought it was the white crystals, figured oh well but thereâs a huge difference in quality)
