âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸ – Perfect for My Security Screen Door!
I installed the Philips WiFi Smart Lock with Fingerprint and Keypad on my home’s security screendoor, and after a little over a month, it continues to perform flawlessly. The lock’s sleek and modern design complements the aesthetics of our home, and the app is incredibly simple, clean, and user-friendly. The keypad and fingerprint recognition has truly made our family’s daily routine so much easier, and it’s a game-changer when we travel. Friends who watch our home or pets can easily access the house, and we have peace of mind knowing it’s secure. The price was very reasonable as well.Highly recommend for anyone looking to upgrade their home security with a convenient and effective solution. Also, it’s perfect for security screen doors because full replacment smart locks don’t fit properly with the way moat security doors are designed. For those using this product on a security door, you can install the magnet door sensor perpendicular, meaning one magnet is on the door while the other one is on the internal frame of the security door – creating an L-shape. It still works seamlessly like that, so hopefully that sames someone endless Google searching. Cheers.

Works well, looks great
Bought for our 1899 house so we didnât have to take off our original hardware. I had to make a trip to the hardware store to get a part to make the lock work but other than that install was very easy. If not for our lock set being antique it would have been even easier! Lock works great for the price and you canât tell from the outside. Fingerprints for adults work well, but not so well with our kids tiny fingers. That is literally my only complaint. Otherwise I love being able to leave my keys behind on walks or get in easily when I forget my keys inside.

More reliable than August lock!
So first off, I want to preface this by saying I’ve been a user of the August lock since 2021 or so, And the August experience while functional for what I needed it to be was never great. However this Phillips lock is a far, far better improvement then the August lock.My biggest gripe with the August lock was the fact that it was not reliable both from a network standpoint and a continual lack of security, with random openings of the lock and weird times and or random inability to access the lock at critical times. Which was extremely frustrating. This Philips lock has resolved all my problems. It is so fast to open and close the door it’s unbelievable. Not once have I lost network connection or been unable to access it from the app. Some people are saying that the app is not great but truly you don’t need a super fancy app to open and close your lock. You really don’t!Pros of this lock:Clean uncluttered and smooth app, no lagAbility to add fingerprintsAbility to see the battery status of your lock and all its accessories ( Come on August why was this so difficult to do)Easy integration with Alexa and Google HomeEasy passcodes, easy history viewAbility to assign codes… temporary and otherwiseCons:So far none, I will update this if I encounter any cons.

It’s Horrible
I’m not one to write a lot of bad reviews. I only do it when it is extremely well deserved, so I thought I would share with everyone my experience.I bought 2 of these. One used, but the batteries were missing so I returned it. The second one, my wife bought new while I waited for my refund.I was able to hook up the new one relatively painlessly. The pain didn’t come until later, when we actually tried to use the device. To use it, you download the Philips Home app and set it all up, which went well. Here’s where things went bad. I bought this to Integrate with Google Home. Following the instructions, Google Home would not find this device. I tried multiple ways going through the Philips Home app to link the account. Linking from Google Home, adding and removing it. All kinds of stuff I shouldn’t have to do.After a while, I decided that it just wasn’t going to work with Google Home. So, I just was going to use it stand alone connected to the wifi and utilize the app to lock/unlock it. Ha. Yeah no… When you lock or unlock from the app, at least 50% of the time it wouldn’t register. When it did register, the app wouldn’t update so it would still say “Locked” after a successful unlock. We used it for a week hoping that there would be some kind of update to the app. I left a review of all of these issues there hoping the developer would update the app. Wishful thinking. Looking through the app reviews there are a TON of 1 star reviews on Google Play.We returned the second one and got something different. This was quite the disappointment. Hopefully, if you bought this and use Android/Google Home, you kept the box.

Works and Very Easy Install
I’ve been wanting a smart lock for a while but wanted a simple solution. I too looked at an August model and liked it and had it my cart. Amazon of course offered other options and this came up. This no was $50 less with the keypad. I researched and couldn’t find anything about this unit. I bought it and installed the lock portion in about 12 minutes. Very easy install. I then added the door sensor and keypad accessories. All done within about 20 minutes. App works great as. One issue… When I added it to Google Home, Google found it and added it with no problem. When I tried to use Google Home to manipulate the lock, I was asked for a Google Pin. Had no idea what it was. Fount out how to create. PIN so I thought. Created a PIN and Google Home still asks for a PIN. This is disappointing as I’d like to say, Hey Google unlock door as I pull in to my drive way. Kind of a let down but ai still give 5 stars because the product out the box works as advertised. Easy set up, and integrates well with my existing door.A good option to the more expensive August if you want to save a few bucks.
