Intuitive to use, works fast, strong suction, stops automatically and is compact for easy storage.
This is a simple device that is intuitive to use — I did not need to read the manual before using. Although it comes with a charging cable, it arrived fully charged so I was able to use it right away.I used the larger of the two bags sizes provided for coffee beans and used the vacuum sealer to expel excess air and was pleased at how well it worked: the process was very fast (seconds), the sound was a mid-level deep hum instead of a loud tinny screech (I’m overly sensitive to noise and this is quite tolerable) and, once enough air was removed, it AUTOMATICALLY stopped the vacuum process. The amount of air removed was very impressive considering how fast it worked.Next, using the smaller bags, I vacuum sealed mixed nuts and whole black peppercorns (those two compacted down to a solid mass as hard as a rock) and tilapia (for freezing) to good effect every time. EZ-PZ. At this rate, I’ll use up all twelve bags in no time; it’s good that replacement bags and canisters are available in different sizes and from different brands here on Amazon.I could also use this device to remove air from the very large vacuum storage bags designed for clothing and linens; the small suction devices that come with those types of bags are usually much too LOUD and very s l ow.Glad I got this device as it is fast and easy to use, and, because it will save me money by keeping my perishable items fresher longer, I’m likely to use it regularly. Its compact size takes up little space and fits in a compartment in a utensil drawer where it will be quickly and easily accessible.Finally, because the description says it works with “Sous Vide” cooking, I’m off to Google to find out more about what exactly that is . . .

Five star gadget, 3-star bags = four star product
Wand works great! Compatible with the food saver brand bags (with the port).The bags are sus. The descriptions use similar verbiage as the food saver (locks in freshness, helps prevents freezer burn, microwave safeâ¦.) but when you get the instructions, it says donât use with wet or powdery items. But itâs good for marinades, and sous vide? ðDry goods: âï¸ Girl Scout cookies are safe in the freezer.Marinade function: To be safe, I put the meat and marinade in a bag before I vacuum sealed it, and it came out wonderfully. It was a little more tender than I got with my normal ziploc bag marinading. Butâ¦. When I removed the meat and the sauce I got some in the vacuum seal bag. Apparently during the washing process I broke the bag, and the bag did not seal anymore ð³.Freshness test 1:I saw a video on avocados so I tried to recreate it. (Hereâs a one week test comparison.). Bottom line is it will lengthen the fridge life of a cut avocado. Notice that the brown spot in the vacuum sealed bag doesnât change, but the avocado in the ziploc bag definitely browned and oxidized.Freshness test 2:I wasnât convinced it would work on salads/leafy greens. It does work ⦠yay! For a little longer than the plastic containers they come in. So instead of a week to eat large bag, I can halve my greens and seal them for an extra week. But after two weeks it started doing the wet wilt inside the bag, and it wasnât gross and slimy, but it wasnât crunchy anymore. I probably wouldnât try it on spinach, since they are so delicate.Washing: to avoid damaging the bags (since they arenât that cheap), I try to avoid contacting with the food as much as possible. Small amounts of moisture doesnât hurt or damage the port⦠but I would not use the product with wet objects near the port, or straight up liquids.Bottom line: good for dry goods (like Girl Scout cookies), and saving space in your pantry or freezer. Bags are not as reusable as they say – they do get damaged easily during the wash. Bonus, the wand is compatible with the food saver brand so you can get replacements bags relatively easily.

Fantastic Vacuum Sealer
First I’ll say that I’d give this more stars if I could. I did not expect it to work so well, and I am very happy to say that it has now replaced an annoying vacuum sealer that I’ve used for food. Or should I say, tried to use? That one is a typical one that you use to seal bags that you cut from a roll and then vacuum and seal with a heated element – one that you see on Amazon and other places. But it never worked great. So I saw this simple little one and figured that there’s no way that it could work all that well. I was wrong! It firmly connects to the seal on the bags and completely removes all the air, making it perfect for freezing or preserving the freshness of food. Yes, it can be used with moist foods (like meats), though I’d recommend drying them as much as possible first. The end cap easily comes off to clean it. The bags are reusable, which I really love, and there are available other attachments and bags (such as for wine bottles and clothing). It’s highly portable for travel and packing your clothes, recharges quickly and the charge lasts a long time. This is a very nice sealer that I am very happy to have. Very highly recommend.

Works perfectly
I like to have really fresh tea because itâs so much more flavorful. I buy a little on the expensive side teas because they are so much better tasting. Iâm happy I found this vacuum sealer. I had opened a new foil pack of tea, and I poured the tea into one of the baggies and tried the vacuum sealer the first time and was pretty impressed that it was easy to attach and that it took all the air out of it. I like that I could take some out and have another cup of tea a couple weeks later and then I can seal it up again. It works perfectly and Iâm so happy I have it. I have had other vacuum sealers and I still have bags for those other ones so Iâll continue to use those until theyâre gone, but Iâll have to get more bags for this unit to continue using it and thatâs the only downfall. I have to have the specific bags. Overall, I really love it and itâs going to get a lot of use.
