Iâm very glad I got this portable water filter for emergencies and camping and prepping. Itâs 6 inches in length and very slim and itâs very easy to carry it in my pocket or my purse and itâs very easy to use. It filters out all the toxic chemicals and harmful bacteria and itâs so simple to put the filter in a body of water and it instantly filters out all the toxins and then I pour the water into my bottle. I need to repeat the process several times until my bottle is full and then I can drink it. Itâs a great necessary tool. I highly recommend it for its tremendous value and itâs money well spent.

With all the natural and man made disasters as well as threats of civil unrest these days it is important to be prepared in the event public water supplies are disrupted or contaminated. It is also great to carry a water filter for hiking or camping to use in case of emergency. I also keep one in each of my vehicles in case an emergency would strike on the road requiring a hike to get home.Per the instructions, this water filter is effective on everything smaller than 0.01 microns which includes Giardia, Crypto, and 99% of bacteria. Those are the primary things we need to be concerned with in the USA from rivers, streams, and lakes.This filter includes a straw for drinking directly from a water source such as a stream or container. It is nice to have this option, but it requires some suction power and delivers small sips of water. Alternatively, it is better to attach it to a standard plastic soda bottle or compatible plastic water bottles (such as SMART water bottles) or water bladder with a compatible thread. Then you can squeeze the bottle or bag to force water through the filter into a clean cup or bottle.This filter straw includes a lanyard to keep it around your neck so you do not lose it. It is light weight and easy to keep around your neck or attach to your backpack. I am happy to have the peace of mind provided by keeping several of these on hand for emergency use.

This portable water filter is a fantastic addition to my emergency kit. It arrived sealed. I appreciate how lightweight it is and it’s fairly compact, so it would be easy to keep in your car or backpack. It is easy to use and the instructions were clear. I like that it will work with whatever bottle you are using or you can use it by inserting it into whatever your water source is.

Great alternative version to the name brand
This is an excellent addition to your bug out bag or survival supplies.It’s very comparable to the actual name brand version of this straw. I’d say if there are any differences, it may be in the longevity or the life expectancy of the straw.I’ve seen tests done on this straws, and although I’m not going to test it right now on some dirty or gross water, when needed to, you will use it in this way.
