My extremely picky Boxer can only eat lamb, goat & fish. He’s allergic to all other meats. It’s so incredibly difficult to find a healthy, balanced, organic dog food, free of antibiotics and hormones in his preferred choice of allowable meat (lamb) that he will eat.We have tried all formulas and all premium brands, canned, wet, dehydrated, and air dried etc…My Boxer might take a brief interest in something and then out of nowhere reject it! But these, THESE are his tried and true favorite! he will enthusiastically eat these anytime, dry or otherwise. I am very relieved to have found this for my beloved dog! They are on the pricier side but at least i’m not throwing away full bowls of dog food anymore. *Our most recent order came in a different newly designed packaged. I was concerned that the formula had changed and I’d have an issue with my dog eating these.However, upon comparing the ingredients on the old bag with the new, I discovered that some of the ingredients further down in the list have been rearranged in order, meaning the amount of those ingredients has either been increased or reduced but the ingredients were still the same. Upon inspecting the actual nugget, they appear to be slightly smaller, firmer and a bit more golden in color. Luckily though, this did not make any difference to my Boxer! He was so excited when I opened the bag that he devoured 8 nuggets on the spot!

Particular Pooch
I have a 25 pound doodle that I wouldn’t say is picky but discerning. She loves this so I’m happy. She is only able to eat beef or pork products and doesn’t want to eat the same thing for more than a few days and she knows quality. I like the reasonable cost, portion control, quality and ratio of ingredients in this food.

Found a Balance
I’ve finally found a balance of food for my 14yr old pup. After years of looking for the right mix of food for his health and taste, I mix this with water and add in 1/3 can of Ziwi Peak canned chicken (he doesn’t like the Beef for some unknown reason) he eats it right up once he gets hungry. He’s not a breakfast eater but sometimes he likes and afternoon meal then a 1/2 meal at night. Our Vet even said that if not for his eyes mild cataract fogging he’d never guess he was 14 so I’m doing something right. He’s been eating for about 3-4 yrs but finally found the right canned food to mix with it because alone it’s too rich for him. He has a strong heart and acts like a pup chasing squirrels and such and very little shedding given that he’s a Jack/Corgi mix. When he eats regular grain dog food he sheds like crazy and we’re covered in white fur all over our clothes. If you have a high shedding pup, grain free without soy peas beans and legumes like this with Primal is a great start. It takes about a month to notice so don’t expect a miracle overnight but it will happen. It’s been a life changer for us. Update: 8/26/24 Still excellent food with the same brand and mix of this and ziwi however with the last several bags of chicken is that when I open the bags and until bag is finished I get what I think are food mites. I can’t see them but I get the itchies and what feels like bug bites on me. The turkey/sardine isn’t an issue. I think they’re called dog food storage mites. Take it for what it’s worth in what I’m saying. It’s still great food and worth it for my 22lbs pup. If this goes away or find it’s from something else, I’ll update. I’ll try another online shopping store for my next delivery to see what’s going on. Me or the way it’s manufactured.

My Maltese loves them
Very expensive if you have a large dog, but for a small dog, it’s great. Easy to use. Can be served dry or with a small amount of water. Good ingredients. I mix i with some dry food and it’s all my malty pooh will eat

Good quality – Tough bricks we have to break up small and hydrate well for our old guy since he has minimal teeth…but he enjoys it and no foodallergies!

I love that my dogs love this product, I would like a more reasonable price point tho. 1 bag lasts 3 feedings. I have a 40lb dog and a 15lb dog on this food and I’m ordering every 3 days.

My poodle is extremely picky and this is just about the only thing we can get her to eat.
