This puribag water filtration system is a very comprehensive kit that provides valuable water filtration and protection from bacteria, viruses, protozoa, turbidity and heavy metals. It is also WHO certified and enhances water taste by removing odours, sediment, etc. The kit is high quality, packs to a very compact size for tossing in a backpack, etc. and is lightweight making is easy to carry. It is also fairly easy to use and there are clear instructions included. To increase effectiveness and value this kit offers multiple purification methods (flocculation, sorption, chlorine disinfection, carbon filtration and membrane filtration) that combine to provide the maximum level of protection against waterborne contaminants in any situation. The included membrane filter straw can also be directly attached to any 28 mm threaded bottle and can also be used directly to drink from qa water source using the included straw and tubing. This is a very complete and comprehensive water treatment system that is very compact and lightweight and I would recommend it.

To The Point: The Puribag Pro delivers an effective and portable water purification solution for camping, hiking, and emergencies, combining convenience with reliability. My Opinion: This kit stands out for its versatility and practicality. The water purification bag and membrane filter straw are easy to use and suitable for various outdoor scenarios, while the included P&G water purification sachets add an extra layer of filtration security. The gravity-fed design is particularly helpful in low-resource environments. However, the system may require patience for filtration compared to more streamlined setups. My Verdict: A must-have for outdoor enthusiasts and emergency preparedness kits. Itâs dependable, portable, and well-suited for its purpose.I hope you find this review helpful in making an informed decision. Your feedback is always welcome. Cheers,Straight Shooter.

I’ve used several similar water filtration systems and have a lot of back country camping experience. Note that I hardly ever use water purifying chemicals, so my comments focus on the filtration abilities of this system. This system is relatively simple to learn to use and doesn’t have any unnecessary parts. The purple sliding clip that seals the bag when hanging is very innovative and effective – I’ve never used something like it but it works great. The system has a solid filtration rate of about 7 minutes per litre.I noted a couple areas for improvement however. First, the tap cover should screw on to the bag rather than press on. It is difficult to remove without a tool like a flat head screwdriver. Also, when the cap that connects the bag to the filter’s tube/hose is connected, there is a very small yet consistent leak from the cap where it connects to the bag (about one drop every ten seconds). I tested it several times and made sure it was installed correctly. Applying a bit of plumber’s tape might fix this but it would be ideal if the system was totally leak free. Also, the opening/handle that allows the bag to hang (from a tree branch etc.) should be reinforced. When the bag is even half full it seems to place a lot of strain on the opening and I’m not sure how long it will last before failing. However the bag seems strong and relatively durable overall. The included mini filter is the same dimensions as similar mini filters that are widely available in North America. It has threads that allow it to screw into standard sized water bottles (and the collapsible water bags we typically use while trekking). The filter also has a cap attached to cut off water flow. It can also be used as a straw directly with dirty water. It doesn’t filter water quite as thoroughly as similar filters, but it should be adequate to use while camping. The flip side of the filter pores being slightly larger than in similar filters is that this one filters water faster than others, which is key if the quality of the water being filtered isn’t terrible. I suspect it won’t get clogged as easily as other filters too, but I’m always sure to back flush filters every day or two while camping, and before putting them into storage. The included syringe for back flushing is easy to use and works great.

This pouch will certainly be coming with me on my next camping adventure. It will be a great way to keep fresh and filtered water at base camp. It has very clear instructions and came with everything described. I was pleased to see that the water purification powder was a P&G products and not just a mystery brand. While I wish the bag was a little most thick and robust. It seems more than capable for what it needs to do. Overall I have no issues and would recommend. I will update if any concerns arise. Thanks for stopping by.

There’s a lot of stuff to like and very little to dislike on this it is what you would expect it to be there is a hollow membrane filter straw that will get a ton of use in my backpack and when I go hiking and camping. It’s pretty well made it’s thick material I wouldn’t say it would last you know a pretty severe type environment but it’s thick enough that under normal use it should last a reasonably long time.It also rolls up into a much smaller package which is what I like again for the ultra purist and lightweight hikers that this is too much weight the membrane water straw would be great for those folks the rest of it is more base camp ideology so I’m impressed I like it.
