My corgis love these treats, I will update when/if I notice a change in their gut health. My dog still licks his paws but I hope getting away from beef and chicken in his food will help. Apparently they are a common cause for allergic reactions in dogs.

Probiotics for people as well as pets need to be taken on an empty stomach in order for them to do any good. Online they recommend taking probiotics at least a half hour before breakfast, or 2 or more hours after your last meal of the day. The reason why is if you take them with food, your stomach acid can kill most of them before they can do any good. And you can imagine that since a dogâs stomach is 10x more acidic than peoplesâ stomachs that we need to give these probiotics the best chance that we can. Also, that is why we have special probiotics for dogs. Only some probiotics can be effective for dogs. Pros:* My picky eater will eat this as a treat. She doesnât like it as much as some other treats but she will eat it. That makes it so much easier on me because then I donât have to crush it or disguise it in any way.* They smell so great that IâM tempted to try one!ð Very meaty smelling!* Theyâre soft enough for even old dogs to chew. Yet, they donât crumble in the container. There are a few half ones in the container but thatâs okay with me.Cons:* I was hoping so much that this would alleviate a diarrhea issue that we are having with our other dog. However, it hasnât helped. I cannot fault the product for this simply because the diarrhea could be allergies or something else that probiotics cannot fix. Weâve taken our dog to the vet – done tests and still canât figure it out.

Roxy doesn’t like the smell but I hide them in Pill Pockets and they have definitely helped her! She doesn’t chew & lick her feet half as much as she did prior to taking this prebiotic! Before it seemed like she was licking/chewing 24/7. Now it is only on occasion and pretty rare.
