EACH SEA SPONGE IS UNIQUE
Because sea sponges are natural organisms, they vary by shape, size, color & texture.
The uneven density within sponges can sometimes give rise to uneven coloration for example. The color of the sponges or marks seen are completely normal and demonstrate the variation one finds in many natural products.
Because of this, please note that the sponge you receive may look slightly different from the images and from previous orders.
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR SEA SPONGE?
The longevity of sponges can be increased if proper care is taken of them. Rinse thoroughly after use and let air dry completely.
To freshen, soak sponges occasionally in warm water with baking soda. Rinse afterwards to ensure all baking soda has washed out completely. A properly cared for sponge can give many months of use.
Please note that it is completely normal that ALL sea sponges, regardless of type or brand, will degrade with use over time.

Dark Particles / Specks:
After harvesting from the ocean, sea sponges are often covered in black slime and contain natural sea debris, such as particles of sand, shell, or other marine materials, embedded in their structure.
Despite careful processing, some particles may remain lodged in the sponge canals, so it is always important to inspect sea sponges prior to use.
These small dark particles, often mistaken for organic remnants or dirt, are natural materials like sea debris or flecks of dried seaweed and are not a cause for concern.
Uneven Coloration / “Burn” Marks:
Sea sponges naturally vary in shape and color. The color variations, which can range from bright yellow to dark grey or orange-brown, result from minerals absorbed from the sea.
These differences are normal and do not indicate inferior quality; they reflect the natural beauty of the sea sponge, and there is no need for concern.
Proper maintenance, such as avoiding prolonged dampness and allowing sponges to air dry naturally after use, is recommended to enhance their longevity and preserve their natural appearance.
Sponge Hardness and Measurements:
When delivered, sea sponges will feel hard and dry and may measure smaller than expected.
Please note that sea sponges are sized when wet and subject to some shrinkage when dried and packaged.
To return them to their natural size, fully saturate sponges with water and squeeze a few times. Once rehydrated, they will become soft and restored back to their full size.

Excellent feel
The sponge is exactly as described. The seller did a great job describing the sponge, how to care for it and what to expect. All very useful information. Since I’ve used it, the sponge absorbs soap and water wonderfully, and holds the soap well so that I can get a great lather in the shower. Its ability to hold soap and lather as I use it is its greatest selling point. A great way to get a great soap lather for a great shower cleansing!

Best Ever
This is the best sponge I have ever purchased. It is incredibly soft. I even use it on my face. I was replacing one I had purchased a few days earlier. It was a different brand name and was so coarse that you could put your thumb through from one side to another. This one is tight, soft and smooth. I love it.

The good and the not so good
I ordered the large and I like the size. I use it when showering. One application of soap and it does the job.I think it will last a long time, seems like a good quality sponge. Only drawback is that it is not real soft.Iâve had sponges before and they do soften up after awhile. Because of the roughness it is exfoliating but not damaging to my skin which is sensitive. My skin is really soft after use as it seems to even out the texture. I even use it on my face with good results. I am glad I purchased it. I do think a smaller slice might dry out quicker which I think is important between uses. I may just cut this one in half to expedite drying time.

Just right
After years of using nylon mesh scrubbers with shower gel, a friend turned me onto using sea sponge material instead. This is my first one and it turns out to be a good decision. Small quantities of gel foam up nicely on this sponge and, as promised in the instructions, while it is dry and stiff when it arrives, as soon as it is saturated it becomes soft and pliable. It is less abrasive than my old nylon mesh but still has enough texture to lightly exfoliate as you wash.

Sadly the animals are over crammed into the grow tank
I ordered this product because it was a ‘real’ natural sponge. However I was disappointed to receive my product although it is a real sponge(animal) it was clearly crammed into an overfilled grow tank b/c it is in the shape of a corner! I really hate washing myself with it, it’s clunky and feels weird. Defeats the purpose of the organic, natural idea of this product.

Great Sponge.
The sponge was received with good wrapping and includes a net with lanyard very apropiated to keep in the shower enclosure.I found the sponge thick and rich in volume which conjugates in good water & soap retention. I’d recommend to read and follow the instructions suggested by Constantia Customer Care. Many thanks for selling this quality product.

Great Man Size
Excellent sea sponge – this one is large enough for any man size hand, even the largest. Time will tell itâs durability but it is perfect to use for bathing or showering. Will be ordering more, smaller size for ladies. Have used sea sponge for many years for a great bathing experience – this one fulfils my expectations . Highly recommend. P.S. the net bag is a great bonus.
