Indispensable for outdoor runners – don’t hesitate
I bought one and loved it so much, I purchased another. I attach it to my Janji waist pack and the magnetic clasp holds really well. It’s light enough to avoid causing any bounce. I run in the sweltering heat, and need to carry water, but I have never found a hydration waist pack or backpack that doesn’t drive me crazy. The bottles are a bit small for a long run on a very hot day, but carrying two at a time helps; I will probably get a 3rd to attach to the back of my waist. There is a larger size that was sold out everywhere last time I checked.

Perfect Running Companion
I am a fan of Running Buddy products to hold ID and keys. However, I needed something else to carry a small water/hydration bottle that I could put on and take off quickly. I looked into all of the “clipped” versions but unless you have the right waistband thickness or clip your underwear along with your running shorts/pants it just jostled loose. The Running Buddy H20 Pouch has strong magnets and when properly secured it wont go anywhere while running or just doing house/yard work so I ca keep up w/hydration. Plus it provides enough water for a run of a decent distance if I need more liquids I’ll buy another. Definitely a functional item with lots of value.

Magic magnets – work on MOST outfits.
I have had one of these for years that I used on every race and then bought a second one for a marathon this year that I didn’t want to rely on provided aid stations. With the smaller bottles it works perfect on most shorts. I only ran into issues on my running tights (to be fair I hadn’t tested it prior to the race) which didn’t work well. The magnets didn’t seem to want to stay connected and the lack of a thicker waist band as on my running shorts meant the weight of the bottle full kept allowing it to rotate upwards and out. Eventually I gave up and just carried both – which isn’t bad – they are small enough to fit in the hand easily.. Lesson learned – use these with my normal running shorts only! Other wise, these have worked perfect for every run!

The perfect solution!!
LADIES: I have experimented with this pouch extensively and can report that slipping the flat magnet side behind a firm sports bra and wearing the bottle on the outside works beautifully! I do long 7+ milers in Nevada 100 degree heat and you absolutely cannot wear tights, pants or hardly any clothes at all here. While this might be too heavy for flyaway shorts it is PERFECT as depicted in my picture! This little bottle has saved me from the brink of cotton mouth so many times I cannot say enough about it. Having a bottle slamming your hip or pulling down your shorts is just not feasible in my world. Used this way, the bottle is completely forgotten about unless needed. It does not bounce or flap and the water does not spill. The pouch also launders well every couple of runs – I just dry it flat on a counter surface. The bottle runs through the dishwasher perfectly with no issues. Whomever thought of this magnet bottle thank you thank you thank you. I can now be assured of having my own water and not worry about germs at public fountains and sinks. The eight plus ounces of water is just enough for about three good swigs which gets me through just fine. You could even wear one on each hip if you prefer a belt. This is an INCREDIBLE invention that every runner should own!

Works great…sometimes, depending on the clothes
This is a neat idea and on the right waistband it’s great – the magnets are strong (as long as they’re properly aligned), no chafing, and the pouch doubles as a fuel pouch if you take out the water bottle. First 18-mile long run I used it for, it was a rockstar. That said, I tried it a second time, with different shorts. The waistband on the second pair of shorts wasn’t as tight, and despite having the same contents as the prior run (2 gels and some salt tabs), the pouch bounced. Really bounced. Maddenningly bounced. I lasted about 2 miles before I chose to carry it by hand for the rest of the run which pretty much defeated the purpose. So take from this what you will. If your shorts are tight, you may love this. If not, well, it’s inexpensive enough so that you might as well try it since the loss will be minimal if you end up disappointed.

Another Hit for a Bit more Storage
I’ve been using Running Buddy pouches (regular and XL 6″) for several years. I love the way they fit (I wear them in the front) on those below-the-waist shorts/pants/jeans. Even if I have pockets, I put my phone (Nexus 5-now 5X) into the front mesh and carry credit cards, drivers’ license, etc in the back pocket. Even though I do use a money belt when traveling in cities infamous for their pickpockets, I find the Running Buddy to be nearly equally secure and lots more accessible. However, I’d found that I needed something a little smaller to carry a power bank for my phone. I’d tried a larger pouch from another company, and, though the size was good, it simply didn’t stay on. So, I ordered a twin set of these directly from the Running Buddy site (a great bargain, IMO) to see if the pouch would work. It does! I also use it to hang my “timepiece” when I’m not wearing a watch. My Ford CMax Energi key fob fits into the pouch, also. When I don’t need one to store other items, I find the water bottles to be great. Each came with both sizes so I can load up when trekking for longer distances without carrying a back pack.Runny Buddy pouches have freed me from purse carrying. Even though I use a Multi-Sac brand which wears like a back pack, it still gets to be hot and heavy.

Parfait pour la course à pied. Se glisse dans le short. Très bon maintien avec l’aimant, la gourde ne saute pas et est très bien accessible en courant. La meilleure solution que j’ai trouvé pour la course à pied !

Great little gadget, I attach to the back of my running leggings, sits nicely and no jiggling. Would definitely recommend.

I was very skeptical about how well the magnet would work, but I have done countless train runs and road runs and it works very well. The bottle has never popped out of the holder even once. It is very comfortable to wear and I am a real difficult customer 🙂
