    High quality and durable
Great for Running and HikingI’ve been using this hydration vest for a few weeks, and it’s been really solid. It fits snug but still feels comfortable, and the straps are easy to adjust. The water bottle is soft and super convenient—it doesn’t slosh around, and I haven’t had any leaks. I also love the extra pockets since they make it easy to carry my phone and snacks without feeling bulky. Definitely a great pick if you need something lightweight and reliable for outdoor activities.

A good option, with some caveats
I don’t have any major complaints with this running vest. This is the first running vest I’ve owned, but I’m pretty happy with it. My main complaints are only two minor points:1) Water from the soft-sided water bottle tastes pretty plastic-y and the bite valve is not super easy to get more than a trickle out of. This is also something I find is the case anytime I use a hydration bladder, so I’m not surprised, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re new to that kind of thing.2) The only color available seems to be black, which is pretty terrible for visibility. It does have quite a lot of reflective strips on it, but low-light (not dark) conditions and wet conditions are two instances where reflectivity does not make the cut as sufficient visibility in my book. I understand that it being black makes it pretty neutral and having more colors opens it up to everyone’s opinion on what color is their favorite, but it feels like it’s not visible enough for me to really use in the dark (granted, I may be more paranoid than others because I mostly run in the dark by myself).Positive points:- it’s comfortable to wear and I could cinch it up plenty so it didn’t move around when I was running (for reference, I’m a 5’10”, 150lb woman, chest diameter of 36″). It seemed like it could go a fair bit smaller (like 4-6″ smaller), and can definitely go quite a bit bigger than what’s needed for me – there’s about 10″ of the side straps that I need to tuck in when I wear it, and I may trim the ends at some point, but that’s quite a lot of wiggle room for it to fit someone bigger than me.- the cell phone pocket is nifty – it’s easy to check my phone while I’m running without fear of dropping it. It secures in the “up” position with a combination of strong velcro and a metal snap. The touchscreen works through the plastic, although it can’t recognize my fingerprint to unlock it.- lots of different pockets! The big compartment in the back has two velcro straps for hanging a hydration bladder if you want, and could pretty easily fit a light jacket or something. There’s also a stretch pocket on the outside, a small zipper pocket on the left shoulder that would be good for keys, and probably one or two other ones I’m forgetting.

Decent value for low impact activities
Okay for what you pay, depending on your use case. I run around 6 or 7 ultramarathons per year, with most of those being 50k distance and at least one being a 100 miles; so I am very familiar with running vests. I own at least four high quality running vests that I use on a regular basis. This one from Beam Bliss is not horrible, but it’s really going to depend on how you want to use it. This Beam Bliss running vest has some thoughtful features that I didn’t expect, such as elastic keeper loops to prevent the ends of the side adjustment straps from flapping around while you run. Other pros: the vest includes plenty of reflective accents and piping, which is great for visibility/safety. There’s also plenty of storage, particularly around back. The phone pocket on the right chest has a flip down feature that allows the wearer to easily view and use the phone – without taking the phone out of the pouch. Also the adjustability is fantastic, so fitment shouldn’t be a problem for most average body shapes. As far as cons: the left chest pocket that’s supposed to hold the water flask is too short. The bottle sticks out by maybe 1/4 to 1/3 of the bottle length. This means that if you’re running, the flask will eventually bounce itself up and out of the designated pocket. And the flask itself has a very small opening. Major brands don’t use these tiny openings because it makes adding hydration mixes or ice difficult/messy. Otherwise though, the flask seems just fine, if a little slow on the flow rate when drinking from it. Another con is that cool cell phone flip-down pouch. While it’s potentially convenient that you can still use your phone’s touch screen through the transparent face of the pouch, the body-facing orientation of the phone means that you may inadvertently manipulate your phone with your body as you move. Particularly if you’re sweating. This happened to me. Also, I use an iphone 16 Pro Max and the Face ID sensor is covered up by the Beam Bliss phone pouch border. So while I can manipulate the lock screen, I can’t just flip out the phone and open it easily while running. Finally, the transparent covering on the phone pouch is quite reflective, so you’ll need to look at it in a manner that doesn’t inhibit your view. All that being said, the vest is still very usable for a hike or long day out on your feet. Or for a festival or multiday concert event. It could also be good to use just for walking your dog at night, if you want better visibility and need the storage (though it is black, so that visibility will only come from reflected lights). If you want to run with it, I’d recommend buying a bladder (not included here) instead of relying on a flask. I haven’t yet tried a bladder, but it looks like it’d work just fine if you get a 1.5L size. For the money, it’s a great value if your use case is compatible with the vest’s strengths.

This is light weight and the soft water bottle is easy to put in its pocket.
This will only fit people with a 42″ or less chest. This is not made for stocky people. My check is 41 and I had the straps at there almost maximum length. Easy to put on and off. The soft water bottle spout can be taken off and apart using needle nose pliers to pull the valve out of the silicone spout. The bottle is soft silicone and holds exactly two cups of liquid. I would think you could use the tablets you use for a camelback to throughly clean the silicone bottle which is like a sock but silicone. The water bottle did not leak and to get fluid out you just bite on the end a bit to distort the tip. Plenty of pockets- remember this is not a back pack just a hiking vest. There is a phone pocket on the front that will hold an iphone pro max and close. There are sewn loops for carabiners etc. The vest was very comfortable and light to me. It is well sewn but I don’t think waterproof out of the bag. There are two short straps with velcro for key rings.
