Amazing premium air purifier and humidifier
Allergies, dust and dropping humidity caused by our furnace was the main reasons to look into devices with both purifying and humidifying function. After couple of weeks of research, we decided to go with Sharp KCP70U for large homes and I have to say, we love it! It was surely an investment ($500 range) compare to other (cheaper) products, but nothing offered complex autonomous functions as this product. Delivery was much faster than expected. Product is relatively large, but very slick and design very appealing. It contains massive HEPA, carbon filter and water trey with filter. Assembly was easy (to remove plastic bags from filters) and we were ready to go. Wifi function is great, however setting that up was a bit of a challenge, however we just needed to follow instructions step by step. We were able to set up a schedule based on our schedule so we donât waste energy when we are not at home. On auto mode with humidifying it takes about 5-7W. Only disappointment was its non compatibility with Alexa. Maybe in the future. On auto setting or sleep setting itâs very quiet. We barely notice it. Itâs a pity we canât set humidity to any level, it does that automatically, however we donât need to think about humidity dropping under certain level, which is great. We would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has a severe allergy. In combination with robotic vacuums, we donât need to worry with excessive dust, pm2.5 particles and odor in our house. Itâs definitely worth it.

Fan resonance noise quite noticeable: cannot recommend
This new unit makes a resonance noise on all speeds other than low that can be heard through the room: I donât know if it is defective or normal, but it is going to be returned. I also bought the smaller Sharp unit and it much quieter with no resonance

I really like it
I really like this purifier. It’s very quiet. The screen also shows detailed information about the air quality temperature and humidity.I recommend reading the manual fully. Lots of functions not readily clear are described there. Connecting it to the phone was somewhat cumbersome but once connected it works well.The humidifier design in this model is such that it does NOT make a periodic gurgling sound like many humidifiers do. It’s definitely is a good choice to sleep with. I read about the gurgling sound complaint for the earlier models, but this new model seems to have fixed it.I also like that you can turn the PlasmaCutter on and off as you desire. Recommended!

Easy to install and use
This humidifier/purifier is excellent. It was easy to set up on the internet and install app on my iPhone.Whatâs great is when the unit runs out of water, it sends a text message and notifies me.

App not accurate and can’t adjust humidity
Sadly, it doesn’t do much for humidity other than record the levels while we have it on. Filling up the water tray lasts a week while with our previous humidifier, it went through 1/2 gallon a night and was great.With this, barely any water gets released so the humidifier is useless for us.The graph also always shows we have no dust, odor, etc ever. I know that’s definitely not correct.Honestly can’t tell if it’s doing anything useful but I can definitely say my allergies and dryness have significantly increased since using this to replace our old one. Not impressed

Great for bedroom
Easy to refill and clean. The air is pushed at a slight angle towards the back of the humidifier, which makes it great to keep it by the footboard.
